Brescia Antica
The ancient core of Brescia comes alive in Brescia Antica, where Roman ruins stand beside medieval towers and Renaissance palaces. UNESCO-listed Santa Giulia Museum showcases archaeological treasures spanning millennia in this pedestrian-friendly historic district. Twin cathedrals dominate Piazza del Duomo, creating a stunning architectural timeline. Traditional osterias serve local specialities like casoncelli pasta along narrow cobblestone streets lined with honey-colored buildings. Artisan workshops sell handcrafted ceramics while intimate wine bars create sophisticated evening atmospheres. This area rewards history enthusiasts with authentic Italian culture away from mass tourism.

Centro Storico Sud
Centro Storico Sud captures the essence of ancient Brescia through its remarkably preserved Roman ruins and Renaissance treasures. Wander cobblestone streets where the UNESCO-listed Santa Giulia Museum complex showcases millennia of Italian heritage. Discover hidden piazzas dotted with charming cafes beneath historic arcades. This pedestrian-friendly district makes exploration a delight with limited traffic interrupting your journey through time. Traditional osterias serve authentic Lombard cuisine while artisan workshops offer handcrafted goods. The warm honey-colored buildings and evening church bells create an atmosphere that truly transports you to another era.

Centro Storico Nord
Step back in time at Centro Storico Nord, where Roman ruins mingle with Renaissance grandeur and medieval charm. This northern section of Brescia's old town features the UNESCO-listed Santa Giulia Museum complex and stunning Piazza della Loggia. Car-free cobblestone streets make exploring a pleasure. History buffs will treasure the Capitolium's ancient columns and Torre dell'Orologio's timeless facade. Local trattorias serve traditional Lombard cuisine between museum visits. The pedestrian-only zones connect major attractions through narrow streets where church bells echo across terracotta rooftops.

Lamarmora
While you're strolling through Lamarmora, you may want to check out the restaurants and gardens. If you want to see more of the area, hop on the metro at Lamarmora Station or Bresciadue Station.

Porta Venezia
Porta Venezia is well liked for its historical sites. If you'd like to do some sightseeing in the greater Brescia area, you might plan a trip to Brescia Castle or Santa Giulia Museum.

Top Brescia Hotel Reviews
Hotel Flaminia
"Beautiful hotel in the great location! Amazing lake view from the balcony! Good breakfast on the terrace . Silvia helped us with the parking and luggage which we really appreciated. Very nice , friendly and very helpful staff! Overall amazing experience! Definitely recommend this place to stay in Sirmione ."
Hotel Serenella
"We loved our stay!! The location is close to the action within the walled city but still offin a quiet corner. The private โbeachโ was so nice and relaxing! We will definitely go again"
Villa Luisa Resort & Luxury Apartments
"Wonderful hotel and even more wonderful staff! We will definitely be going back, and will bring our children next time."
Hotel Sirmione Terme
"The hotel is in a super location on the lake, with stunning views. The hotel rooms are quite basic and dated. Carpets in hallways dirty and threadbare. Restaurant food was good, but service over our 5 day stay was incredibly disappointing and impersonal. We were constantly chasing staff for service, which was very annoying. The breakfast set-up is poor, disorganised and no one really in charge to keep things running smoothly. The pool and spa area are lovely and definitely a highlight."

Winter Garden Hotel - Bergamo Airport
"The bathrooms are very poorly lit, very dark and the shower floor is extremely slippery and dangerous."
Campeggio del Garda
"We stayed here for a week. The site and mobile homes are clean and well kept and the staff were friendly. You can pay to rent towels and bedsheets. There are two pools - one which requires swimming caps but the main pool doesnโt. There are a couple of small slides in the main pool and itโs good for kids, although we found it overcrowded at times and the hard plastic loungers are not very comfy! The entertainment is quite noisy until 11pm and aimed at younger kids. The location is good - we didnโt take a car and got around fine. A taxi from Verona airport cost around 65 euros. Itโs a 20 minute walk to Peschiera train station, where you can get a free shuttle bus to Gardaland, and about the same walk to get to the ferry port (highly recommend getting the ferry to Sirmione for the day!). There are a few nice restaurants nearby that are cheaper than those in Peschiera town centre. Access to the lake is good and thereโs a choice of multiple pebbly beaches nearby, where you can rent pedalos or SUPs. Due to the stones, water shoes are recommended! Overall we thought this was good value budget accommodation in a lovely area."
Centro Paolo VI
"Beautiful property located in the central area of Brescia so an easy walk to the main sights, though quite a trudge with a suitcase from the station on a hot day - I should have looked at the map and caught a taxi. It has a breakfast room and a restaurant on site, which were really handy during a rainstorm. I found it frustrating as it could be really lovely, just for the want of petty things. On a hot day, a bottle of water in the room would have been lovely (later, I found a vending machine downstairs). A room safe would have been useful. For internet access one is requested to fill in lots of forms. The austerity can be quite relaxing - just a small crucifix decorates the room - but a feeling that one is either in one of the church groups or excluded. I don't think breakfast was expensive, but I never found a sign to say how much. The dessert "Peach trompe l"oeil" was really fun and nice!"
Hotel Riviera
"Excelente hotel, muy cerca de todo, muy limpio y muy buena atenciรณn. El desayuno fue tambiรฉn muy bueno. Muy recomendable"
