"Nice hotel very large, up hill walk from car park. Room 242 clean comfortable. Pool enjoyed by 2 year old Breakfast ok but not fantastic. Coffee machines a joke. Other food, pizza £40 x 2 poor not good at all. Lot of noise till 2am in morning from persons make excess noise. Storm Dave did not help. Overall a average stay and not one to go back too. Lack of hotel information seemed odd, dark wook paneling gloomy. "

"Perfect hotel for what we needed, central location, lovely room, pool was nice and warm, good food, staff extremely helpful and deal with requests quickly. We would stay again. "

"Large, airy room. All very clean. Friendly and professional staff. Highlight was the buffet breakfast. "

"Bar was fine got 10% of drinks if u were a guest staff were all very nice breakfast wasnt the best but that was my opinion had better"

"Room had no view ( unless you like brick walls ). Breakfast was great. Lots of pubs, shops, takeaways etc nearby. Would return, but as they now charge for parking this is extremely unlikely. "

"Breakfast felt rushed (all items brought to the table at the same time). Staff were pleasant. Furniture and decor in the room looking a little tired. Beautiful surrounding area. Castle and grounds are lovely, quiet and relaxing."

"I stayed here while working nights. Wasn’t disturbed at all during the day while I slept. It’s a fairly old hotel so everything is in working order. Not glitchy like a new hotel. The shower is great. The gym looked good on passing. Staff are friendly and courteous. "

"The parking is easy & free and the staff are very friendly, cheerful, helpful & polite. The rooms are basic but clean, the shower cubicle is huge & the towels are big too. We would go back again."
