"No did not get a beach view ,although room was clean, staff are very helpful outer side badly needing painting and smartning up, no food at this hotel u have to go next door to the Carleton hotel. Fire alarm went off late thursday night but it was ok maybe a bug in the sensory thing in the rooms? Noisy people next door to me doors banging loud conversation so not much sleep had!"

"Swapped out sea view room, sadly, but hotel had an old world charm and the hottest swimming pool I've ever been in. That's not necessarily a good thing unless you're someone that doesn't want to swim and then you're fine. Staff were warm and welcoming, lots of flash cars on the driveway. Really liked the look of the rooms by the pool. Breakfast was a bit busy and staff a little frazzled but pleasant. The wallpaper in the bar was amazing. Wonderful location, the higher the floor the better - if you're put on the first floor (like us) and not given the room you're booked, then you're clearly not an A-lister... :-). Room was wonderful."

"Nice room, easy to operate shower, very quiet, friendly staff. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that. But excellent value and would definitely recommend and stay here again. "

"The hotel was comfy, clean and close to local amenities. Staff were friendly and happy to help with any queries. Breakfast was lovely with a nice selection of food. Room was cosy and everything needed to make the stay enjoyable e.g. fast wifi, hairdryer, iron etc. Would stay here again :-)"

"Room is hot, they provided small fan in the room- but still won't give you good sleep. Toilet is disgusting, dirty and need to replaced new one! Room is old, and needs complete refurbishment. What annoyed me most, wifi was not working- and we complained about all the issues we raised- however no compensation was given. Elevator not working, indoor pool is super tiny, outdoor pool is dirty and not allowed to use ( under maintenance ). Parking charges is ridicilous, £20 per night, £1.60 text notification charge. They almost charged us twice- so hence better to keep an eye of your expenses. Please think twice before booking this hotel."

"the hotel had changed ownership a few months ago. my room on the second floor was spacious and a bit of a view of the beach. had I been on a higher floor with had a better view! english breakfast was made to order, the location an easy walk to the pier and the beach. the hotel is quaint. no air conditioning but with two open windows and two fans in the room, for May it was quite comfortable. the roommate padded bench and small desk, an armoire, a small sofa, and a high bath tub. great place to stay for a few nights visit."

"Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly and very helpful Kitchen is clean and excellent breakfast. Boiled eggs addition could be thought of as that option not available. Beach is very close by and within walkable distance. Overall excellent place to satay"
