"We really had high hopes of this property. It is in a quirky shaped building with old style features in the outside. Once inside, it was not as inviting as expected. There was a line to check in, it was just after 4 and expected. There were two front desk people, one was sitting down and let every one know that he was off the clock and waiting to leave. The front desk person that checked people in seemed friendly. When it was our turn she told us our room was having the toilet seat switched out. She tried calling to find out if it was, and said I really don’t want to check you in if it isn’t ready but I will it was just the toilet seat. We got our code and went up to the room, we heard loud banging before we even opened the door. So, we waited in the ‘gym’ area on our floor. When the worker left the room, we heard the door slam. (Make sure you hold the door as you are closing it) We went to the room, to find towels around the toilet itself and the seat off to the side. Overall, the room was the perfect set up for us, two bedroom. We went back downstairs, told the front desk person he was clearly not done and it was more than a toilet seat. We asked for a different room. I mentioned we would take a one bedroom if needed. We got the one bedroom. Upon entering we noticed two smoke detectors on the table near the window with the batteries removed. The linens were clean. However, there were dusty fixtures such as the lights in the bedroom. "

"The hotel itself was nice & the room was great. Very clean. The food portion felt like a run down mall food court. The pizza at Little Caesar’s was disgusting. The gym was amazing. "

"This Inn is in the cultural part of the city so if thats your thing, you couldn't pick a better place to stay. Plenty of restaurants nearby and even more are accessible via the q line. I loved the bed and breakfast feel of the place and i hope that never changes."

"A lovely spot for our quick stay! Breakfast was amazing, rooms were clean and quiet, and the property cafes about sustainability, a big plus for us. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city and fun things to do and good places to eat. Will definitely come back!"

"Weirdest hotel i have ever stayed at. When GPS told me i had arrived, i couldnt even find the hotel. Its like an old apartment building that has been remodeled. No signage. Nothing to draw your attention that this is the place you need to be. Had to call to get in. Man answers the phone and says hell be there in 15 to open t.he door !?!? I misswd the fine print on how to check in. There is no onsite manager. No onsite house keeping. Room was clean, but there wasnt any tissues and no toilet paper holder. Just a roll of TP on the back of the toilet. There wasnt any shampoo or condition.... well there was an open bottle of head and shoulders in the shower... The shower gell they provided had gunk all over the tubes. No way to change the temperature of the room- no thermostat was in the room. It was hotter than Hades! On top of that, i was charged way more money than what i reserved the room for online! It should be interesting trying to get my money back. I have another trip to Detroit in April. I was going to stay here then. But i quickly canceled that reservation. Never again! "

"It is what it is! The place is spartan, I had to sweep the floor in my room, figure out how to rig the window open because the room was sweltering hot (on a 48 degree day), and go buy a towel so I could take a shower. It’s such a cool neighborhood though that I would stay here again. "
