Amazing property, very welcoming and friendly staff. We got the lovely cabin which has its own spa and it was very comfy, with a fire in the chimney as we got it. Very calm and peaceful. The location in the countryside is far but worth the trip. There is tennis and pool table on site. We even got to feed the alpacas!

From the minute we asked about check in we were made to feel extremely welcome . Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff

We spent one night here on our way to the Wolgan Valley. It is in a great location right on the Escarpment and a five minute walk to Echo Point. The rooms are a little dated but comfortable. There is no evening turn down service nor any complimentary bottled water in the room, rather surprising for a 4/5 star rated hotel. We had a wonderful Asian meal in Miss Lilian’s Tea Room restaurant. The service and staff there were fabulous. Breakfast was good with all the usual fruits, cereals, juices...

Madison Mountain Retreat is exactly what it says. A retreat in the Mountains, away from pesky 'real world' interferences of internet, email, phone calls, texts etc. Blissfully peaceful, rustic, but lovely cabins, lively alpacas, glorious birdsong, beautiful surrounds. The staff are lovely and friendly, and will supply basic foodstuffs (bread, milk, cheese, bacon) on requests, as well as eggs daily from their free range hens. This is a wonderful place to unwind and relax. There's plenty to do...

was able to check in early, lady was very helpful. we were allowed to leave luggage safely locked away for the daywe departed. shower cubicle was on the small side in room 1.

Great basecamp for blue mountain hikes, loved the history and feel of this place. All staff really nice

A good distance from Katoomba train station but only 5min walk to the Three Sisters view point. Quiet neighbourhood, relaxing stay. However, fridge was only one for all rooms in the hall.

We enjoyed the fun theme and excellent facilities.

The hotel itself was good and had all the facilities you would want. However personally we found it difficult to find as the entrance is down a back lane that had no hotel sign. It suffered from road noise if your bedroom overlooked the main road into Campbelltown.

The spa was closed for refurbishment but the bar had a great atmosphere and a lovely open fire. We liked it.
