We had a warm welcome. Our room was quite basic but clean and the shower was nice and strong, there wasn't a hand rail to get in and out though and it was quite slippery. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all very nice and friendly. The weather was lovely so we were able yo have our breakfast outside, which was nice. Plenty of parking spaces and nice walks nearby. Would definitely stay there again

No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. Bathroom was comparatively clean but also like the rest of the room very tired in appearance. Car park can be a little cramped, and can make entry and exit a little of a challenge. No EV charging on site. Check in was easy, staff are polite, clearly hard working and what made every effort to make our stay untroubled. Food was excellent. Had steak pie, potato and peas. Very enjoyable. Cooked Breakfast (Included) was a good size and appealing to the eye and nose. Coffee was enjoyable. In summery. If staying one night for airport or transit and you don't mind a bit of dirt and dust then Hunters Meet will be acceptable. Staff, and food make the place. We didn't use the pool, gym, or spa.

Our welcome at reception was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean but basic. The shower was nice and strong but there was no handrail to get in and out and it was quite slippery. There was not a rubber mat either. Breakfast was really good, I should have had for the small breakfast as the normal English breakfast was huge. The weather was lovely so we were able to sit outside which was nice. We were going to a wedding at Down Hall Spa and the Hunters Meet is only a 3 minute drive away so really handy. Lovely walks nearby. Only negative thing I can say is that the whole hotel is a bit tired looking and a bit dated and could do with some money being spent on it, otherwise a good base. Lots of parking too.
