"Beautiful hotel and gardens with a bar and restaurant on-site. We had a lovely time wandering the grounds with a cocktail and even felt a bit like royalty. A breakfast buffet was included and had great options. The rooms are a little older and dated - it was hot in the room - because I don’t think we had a/c - but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. (Make sure you check out the hotel museum in the basement - it’s really interesting!"

"Very clean and comfortable bed, nice bathroom, we were in the dorma room and thought it would be very stuffy and cramped because we had such hot weather that day but it was lovely and cool I'd say it was well insulated."

"Room could do with a lick of paint. Beds very comfortable had a great sleep. Breakfast brilliant and plenty of it. We had a bar meal on the second day,again the food was exceptional. Parking no problem. Staff very attentive. The hotel is a 10 minute walk off the main street, so wonderful and quiet. They have a large grassed area with benches within staggering distance of the bar. Perfect sun trap. Will definitely be back"
