Overall, the hotel is okay. The air conditioning worked well. I could feel the springs in the mattress. The reception staff was welcoming and helpful. The bathroom walls and floor were badly in need of deep cleaning. Dirty dishes from room service sat in the hallway for 24 hours before being cleared.

Hands down. Very cooperative staff. I booked it through Expedia. And when I checked in. Honestly. I wasn't very pleased. I was upgraded immediately. But the bed sheets were not clean at all! Which they changed immediately. I asked for a refund after a nights stay. Which they obliged to. But the worst bit about this hotel is the guests. I will certainly not recommend this to solo women travelers.

Nice hotel, Food not good.
The Goa Villagio hotel was completely acceptable for a three star establishment. The room was functional and clean and all the expected facilities, like the pool and wifi, were available and in good working order. But, unfortunately the hotel was let down by the quality and expense of the food. I had already been traveling India for two weeks and this was consistently the worst food of the trip. Also, be warned, when I arrived I was told that I had to pay (Mandatory) for the Christmas dinner. This was by far the most expensive meal of my trip and the food was it's usual poor standard, and cold. Drinks not included. The price of the dinner did include a bit of a local show. Final point: In my view there is a major health and safety concern in the accommodation block opposite the restaurant in that the stairwell windows, normally open to below knee level, have no railings preventing any accidental fall.
