Great with a few hickups
The room was clean and ok, but very small with the shower placed inside the room and the only window was in the bathroom. The hotel is in a great place, near public transport, shops and restaurants.

First of all they didn't have my reservation. I booked comfort twin room but they gave me single bed room saying that they don't have my reservation even though I showed them reservation on Expedia. They charged for 2 Croissants even though I ordered 1. There was mistake in the final bill and took 105 Euros extra from me and I don't know when will I get it back. The only good thing - the room was okay compared to the price.

Sehr geehrte Frau Mallapa,Ihnen wurde nichts zweifach in die Rechnung gestellt, alles was Sie bestellt haben, wurde detailliert aufgelistet.Die 105 EUR war wegen Ihrer Angabe der Verlängerung.Sie hätten unsere Kollegen einfach darauf hinweisen sollen, dass Sie doch nicht verlängern wünschen und abreisen möchten.Ihnen wurde auch der Nachweis der Rückerstattung per Mail am Montag den 14.11.2022 zugeschickt.freundliche Grüße Hotel Karlshorst

Terrible hotel.
Poor service , had lost my booking, no breakfast available, no evening meal available, no tea facilities, uncomfortable bed, rude staff, shower not working, dirty carpet, fire alarm drill without notification or reassurance that it was just a drill.

Very,very dated.Too much clutter just gathering dust,sockets not working properly,very grotty when furniture was moved,stairwells were grubby with worn carpeting,huge,heavy curtains that were full of dust,no signs on stairs,which led to us going into someone's(staff??) room!!No breakfast available,although I doubt whether I'd have eaten there.No coffee,water,snacks,which,in this day and age is ridiculousI understand that this was a cheap option,however,

Hotel under new management whicj we didnt know about, lift m ad malfunctioned and got stuck in basement and had to climb out through a small window, reception staff didn't care. Bar was closed

It took 3 attempts to get me a room (first one wasn’t ready, second one looked like the door kicked in so I didn’t feel safe, third room was the first room now ready) which was spotlessly clean though very sparse. Flat screen tv, comfortable bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, large bathroom with a balcony and the bed was made and room cleaned every day. Good room temperature too. If you’re looking for a budget stay, purely to sleep this is for you. There are no tea/coffee making facilities and although it says you can buy breakfast in the restaurant below this wasn’t available during my stay. Staff were friendly but didn’t offer information freely. I found out through other guests you could pay to have WiFi though I didn’t do this.

SLEPT ON A PARK BENCH THANKS TO MANAGEMENT! They changed the lock on the late night entrance without informing guests. I had to sleep on a park bench at 3am on the 2nd night. All they needed to do was inform guests and issue them with an old key and a new key. Was the most dreadful experience of my life when staying at a hotel. Also, the room entrances have rotten door frames and so you can enter locked rooms. For this reason the hotel needs to be shut down. The location is not good either if you really want to experience the city.

OK if on a strict budget.
Walk in and the receptionist was having an argument with a women and then rolled her eyes at me. Put in a disabled person's room with toilet about 3ft off the ground with rails and walk in shower, stained leaking ceilings, broken blinds in bathroom so people can see in, old towels, stained toilet paper, no soap and loud couples every night. If backpacking on a budget fine, if not avoid. Didn't say a word or make eye contact when checking out.

Abysmal room, the lock was broken, shower broken, WiFi didn’t work that you had to pay for. The staff were not very helpful. And when we had to check out at 3:30am, they key to the night door didn’t work and we had to scale a 10ft fence to get out of the hotel! Luckily we managed to get out a fire escape to the back of the hotel court and the taxi driver had to help us get over this fence. Luckily we’re both agile enough to get up and over but anyone older wouldn’t have been able to have gotten out and wouldn’t be able to get out the hotel until 8am when the staff are back and we’d have missed our flight! Would not recommend this place at all.

I did not pay a lot for my 3 night stay and only used the hotel for washing and sleeping. The bedroom and bathroom were very basic, the towels were rough, some items were not attached to the wall properly. The blind on the window was broken, the carpet had stains and the door was paper thin, meaning noise carried easily. Having said all of that, I knew I was opting for pretty much the cheapest hotel in the area, so none of this was really an unpleasant surprise. The location is very handy (for me at least) being a short walk to the train station and with nearby supermarket / cafe etc. Staff were friendly and the room seemed pretty clean. As far as I'm concerned I got what I paid for.

Worst Hotel i have ever been to. When I first entered the room, the garbage can was not emptied. They do not clean the room everyday, just fold the blanket. Soap dispenser and shower head stand were broken.the staff is really badly trained. Never Again

Good hotel in quiet area of former East Germany. Staff are professional, although they don't seem to be too friendly, this maybe the remnants of Soviet Union rule? No problems though.

Hotel furiture is very outdated, bamboo beds were squeaking, there was unbearable smell on the staircase and the elevator wasn't working. Walls are thin, we could hear guests talking in other rooms. WiFi is not free, but very expensive!

No one would tidy the room after you back, the body soap is half filled when we arrive, the towel is dirty and no free wifi. The people around the hotel are nice, but its just a place for sleep only , nothing to see.

On the third floor the shower lacked sufficient water pressure. The showerhose leaked most of the waterpressure away before entering the head. TV did not work, Pull down window blinds did not stay down. They sold me a parking spot for 4 days and it was a daily nuissance to actually use it because staff or restaurant guests would block the entrance or the spots themselves. This lead to management knocking on doors to find the owner of a car in the early morning even though my numberplate and phonenumber was registered. Finding the owner of a car ( usually it was staff or a restaurant guest blocking the exit ) took sometimes up to 20 minutes. This happened again and again, they did not learn. Dissapointing. Staff came across as unable to come up with something to fix this issue.

Great location, recently refurbished, good staff. Beds are not well arranged(2 beds are very close) I was obliged to leave the room at 4am the last night, because the person sleeping near to me came drink with a disgusting smell. The receptionist suggested another room for me but I was very angry and left the hotel.

Suite war nicht wie gebucht. Keine 65m², keine 2 Bäder, ein Schlafzimmer gleich Wohnzimmer, vermutlich notdürftig eingerichtet, da wir auch keine Nachttischlampen hatten. Man konnte das Licht nur im Flur an der Eingangstür betätigen, schlecht wenn man nachts mal zur Toilette muss. Eine verschlossenen Tür hinter der sich angeblich ein zweites Bad mit Wasserschaden befindet. Hier vermuten wir auch ein zweites Schlafzimmer, was die m² dann passend machen könnte. Keines der beiden TV-Geräte funktionierte, erst nach vielem Beschweren (insgesamt zwei Tage lang) wurde an einem der beiden Geräte ein Kabel angeschlossen. Kein Mineralwasser im Zimmer. Auf Nachfrage weiß man davon nichts. ACHTUNG ABZOCKE beim W-LAN, Kosten 4,-€ pro Gerät. Bei dem Preis erwartet man natürlich kein Nobelhotel aber hier gibt es nicht einmal die gebuchten Leistungen. Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, insgesamt sehr abgewohntes Hotel, alle Halterungen für Seifen-, Duschspender sowie WC-Papier defekt. Absolut katastrophaler Service an der Rezeption. Man hat keinerlei Handhabe bei Beschwerden und wird an ein angebliches Beschwerdemanagement verwiesen. Keinerlei Entgegenkommen und sogar frech gegenüber den Gästen.
