"I had an excellent stay at the Lancaster Hall Hotel . The staff were *exceptionally* nice and accommodating. I thought it was an outstanding value- A great price for a simple but spacious room (city standards), very nice bath (WITH tub), super comfortable bed. It was spotless. The windows are great at blocking out street noise. AND the location is fantastic! It is a block from Hyde Parke and a 5 minute walk to Paddington Station or Lancaster Gate Tube stop . The area was safe and I found the street itself pretty quiet. One small negative is that the doors are thin so corridor noise travels easily, so you may want to have earplugs just in case. But I would stay again in a heartbeat"

"We were originally booked in a standard twin room. It was an extremely tiny room facing the back of the property with two twin beds. With our luggage in the room we had very little space and had to shuffle past each other to get into the bathroom. Also the floor creaked on every step and there were scuff marks on the walls. Terrible experience! So we spoke to the night manager to see what our options were. He saved our trip for us. We upgraded to a junior suite two floors up and facing the garden across the street. It became the perfect spot for our three day adventure. It’s a quiet area that is walkable to coffee shops, two subway stops, two local churches, lots of dining choices, princess Diana park, the local buses, the hop on tourist bus stop, and taxis are easy to find. I gave the staff a 4 because the first desk clerk was clueless and didn’t offer us alternatives to our tiny room. The property itself was clean and tidy but it is an older building and the spaces are cozy. Overall we had a pleasant stay in the junior suite room. Perfect for two on a short stay. We would stay there again. "

"We had an excellent stay at this central London hotel. Our room was apartment style, with one bedroom and a second room with a foldout couch, perfect for us as we had our teenage son with us and was able to he have his own room. The hotel staff was friendly, rooms were very clean, quiet and modern, natural lighting and a beautiful location, just off of Hyde Park. Not too touristy but close enough to everything, within walking distance or easy public transit."
