Battalion Park

Knew it was basic for amenities, but this is a motel, not a hotel as represented in the description. Very sparse amenities, and desk only available from 2:30-10:30 pm during our stay. While it worked fine for us, there is no noise blocking AT ALL. If you have trouble sleeping or it’s busy season and you need a quiet place, I’d skip this one. No elevators, so if you have any issues with stairs request the first floor. It was fine, but don’t think I’d use a Base Camp property in the future if I can avoid it. Reviews made it sound nicer than what it is. It was pretty clean and the bed wasn’t too bad, so that was a plus.

It's a very good hotel, but still undergoing a lot of construction. Do not expect to have your room ready much before 4:00. I stayed there two nights, a week apart. Both times I arrived a bit early, hoping to relax in my room. Both times I got in just before 4;00. It's a very popular tourist hotel in downtown Banff, so expect crowding.

Although this property was very clean, it was very basic. There were very few amenities for the price of the hotel. The towels were very thin and scratchy. The toilet paper was also very thin. The pillows and bedding were sub par.
