I liked the style and breakfast, but there was so many things that they got wrong... -Leaking ceiling in bathroom so had to change rooms - Musty smell - smells damp - Leaking boiling water from coffee machine - my 8 yr Old nearly got burnt! - scalding showed that I couldn't turn down and got hotter when other used the other facilities. I couldn’t allow my daughter to use the shower. -woken by aggressive/threatening shouting guests at 1am. - door handles not present on doors, and poor locking on room doors! This made me concerned about fire safety! - all explained to staff on exit and he didn’t seem bothered and haven’t replied to two emails I have sent about it since!

The staff were great and the room was excellent - the only suggestion I would make is to make clear that parking is not included. Other places I stayed had discounted rates with nearby parking stations, perhaps this could be an option?

We stayed in the loft room which was completely run down. The bathrooms were moldy and the door was way to small for its frame leaving you no privacy at all. Not ideal for parties of more than one person. The hotel advertises that shuts its main gate at 9pm and closes its pub at the same time. However, we would come back and find it all shut down by 8:15pm. This makes it difficult to have a refreshment before bed unless you go to the shops on the way back, but of course there’s no mini fridge to keep anything cool. When we checked in, we found the manager in charge was not very welcoming and wasn’t interested in greeting their guests throughout their stay.
