"An excellent choice for a stay in the Lymington/New Forest area. Easy access to shops, restaurants and local sites. Our hosts were very accommodating - breakfasts were excellent, help with logistics and recommendations were spot on! Everything was great!"
"Why take your family away and stay in a faceless corporate hotel, cramped into one room, sitting on the beds, when you could be enjoying a lovely quiet rural cottage style family suite! Friendly, welcoming host, tasty continental breakfast - this is a very comfortable, spacious accommodation with all the amenities. The suite was perfect for us, centrally located, just a few minutes walk (no pavement) to the village, with some great eateries. "
"A wonderful relaxing stay, with the comfiest bed ever. The owners are lovely and all needs are catered for. The breakfasts are excellent and the attention to detail is beautiful. Thank you so much, we'd love to come back if you'll have us."
"Fab stay, lovely breakfast. Very comfortable bedrooms (shame there was a disco at the sailing club next door!)
Would highly recommend and loved the 3 bed suite as a family of 5"

"We had dinner the first night. My husband enjoyed the steak pie. I had the mushroom burger and have to say that it was not good. The mushroom patty was very overcooked and the dish was tasteless but I did not say anything at the time as it was our anniversary and I did not want to spoil the evening. The breakfasts, however, were very nice. There was an amazing selection of dishes all very well prepared. The staff here are fantastic but they need more help. I know that employing staff is difficult but they are short staffed. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, the price was excellent and I will stay again and recommend the hotel to others."
"A beautiful property with a wonderful attentive team. Dean, one of the Assistant Manager’s, was an outstanding host which made our stay very special.
Thank you to the whole team… can’t wait to return "
"Perfect 2 night stay with my 88 year old mother! Room & bathroom was spotless, superb bed & bedding. Ate in restaurant first night. Restaurant staff very friendly & helpful. Continental breakfast extensive. Didn’t use the spa. Would definitely recommend "
"I’ll stay at South lawns could not have been any better, the staff are very attentive, the food in the evening was excellent, the breakfast was outstanding, this is a hotel I would recommend to anyone, and we look forward to our next stay."
"The penthouse is a great room, no it's a small apartment!; a fantastic space, well equipped with abundant and great facilities and it has a fantastic terrace with break-taking views. However, it is looking quite tired and there were a few issues, i.e. the freezer wasn't working, so we couldn't make ice. The wine fridge also wasn't working. A couple of lamps need bulbs replacing and the blind doesn't work in the bathroom. "
"So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.
Definitely worth an annual visit
