Have stayed here many times. I come back again and again because of the staff that is so caring and helpful. Property is older more traditional thai style. Reasonably priced for the neighborhood. Close to nightlife yet Property is set back from the main road and activity of the Patpong night market. Breakfast could be improved and have more variety but the service staff are so attentive.

Hotel equipments in bad need of replacement . Loose tap heads , table lightings etc . Aside from one staff , probably a senior member ard 40s who appears grouchy at times , most of the other members including the door attendants both day n night are pleasant n helpful .

Staff helpful and glad that they honored the breakfast included in the booking unlike the last time they would charge 200 baht for a breakfast but it was written breakfast included.

Nice quite hotel near patpong and staff all polite. I always need international phone, but my fault should have checked before booking. Beakfast was adequet and the right amount. Did not like toaster and coffee some time not hot. But all in all a very nice hotel.

Unbeatable location and value for money.
What a wonderful suite room, spacious, impeccably clean, and quiet ( no noisy traffic sounds ). Staff were consistently very professional and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Location is always important and it's wonderful to be located so close to shops, restaurants, and the Patpong night market. As well as buzzing nightlife. Not too far away is the vast Lumpini park, an oasis of calm and greenery.

Good location
This hotel is convenient to the Sky train and shopping areas. The hotel itself is in need of renovation as is if quite dated, the lobby and restaurant furnishings should be updated. The rooms are somewhat dark and dated. However, the prices are reasonable and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

Always great service.
In Bangkok I always stay at the Tarntawan the service is exceptional. It's a comfortable and relaxed environment. Location in silom is very convenient. It is well maintained a and is excellent value for Bangkok. Breakfast was a bit limited compared to previous years despite how understaffed after COVID shutdown they worked very hard to give outstanding service.

The receptionists during the day are unfriendly. But the receptionist is better. I would not state here next time. I would rather stay at a hotel where I feel welcome.

Its a rustic and cosy setting. An old property , there are a few things that can be revamped eg tolilet facilities on ground level. Also menu in small restaurant can be expanded if there is a demand as some of the guests may prefer to dine in.

Memories of Si Loms older glory
CONs - I arrived early and was held to wait some hours in the non A/C-d lobby until 2PM checkin ....these days hotels are not usually fully booked so I don't get why they did that. There was a noise next to my bed that was not very helfull to sleep but I was not able to switch it off. Lighting in the room was not sufficient and one lamp didnt work (which did not help to improve that). My view was a grey concrete wall. Also not helpful. From the pics I had a different expectation. Overall a bit run-down with old interior but some stylish classy elements in the room that give an idea of better times of this place. Pricey laundry. From the representation I had a manior-like expectation, but it turned out to be a backyard/backalley type of building. PROs - location pretty nicely in Silom. The hotel itself and the area pretty old-fashioned. Seems like they have frequent guests who stay there long time and they became part of the lobby bar furniture. Good and easy to use wifi. The room was clean and I was not ashamed of bringing company as long as they didnt open the curtains. Had good sleep and no noisy surprises.

Looking slightly dated but still worth it...
Pleasant stay here, have used before, its beginning to look a little old now but still clean & tidy. The bed was very comfortably. Good area. close to the night market if that's you're thing. I stayed towards end December 21, things just opening up.

It is a very old hotel. I had a corner suite and the air-conditioner took many.. many hours to cool the room. The good news is it managed to keep steady temperature once it reached 24c
