It may have the bear minimum but the staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast must be tried but not what you would normally expect for breakfast. Also, Take anti mosketo cream.

The area is grest and the owners sweet. Simple clean rooms. The roof view must be from another time era... When it was the tallest building around. Disappointing to see that the orange drink was axed from the complimentary breakfast and many Russians have discovered this place.

The major problem of the hotel is ladyboy owner who is always on the frontdesk reception daytime. Dealing with him/it/her itself makes the whole stay miserable. The hotel is old, bedsheets are dusty and look like there is bed bags, my family have bites all around growing every night. But its cheap.

Nice family friendly hotel!
The hotel is located close to Kosan rd but in a peaceful area! The breakfast was great, good Thai choice. I had a medical problem when I stayed there and the staff went out of their way to help me. A nice place to stay, Nice People!!

Basic No-Frills Room
Overall a good experience. Rooms were in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to plenty of landmarks. Free breakfast every morning was nice as well as two free bottles of water every day. It's slightly more expensive than rooms of similar quality in the same general area but since I booked last minute I'm not in a position to complain.

It’s definitely a budget hotel, with a hard bed but the room was clean. Area is also good being able to walk to khaosan rd. The ladyboy that works front desk is not friendly and even less helpful

This was the first hotel I stayed at in Bangkok. I liked it. The room is basic and antiquated but very comfortable. The staff is very kind and the breakfast buffet was good. Khan san road is about a ten minute walk away

there's no problem for me to stay here as i'm single man.free break fast and wifi and hotshower available. but for those traveler who wanna bring thier "girl friend" you need pay extra money on front before 12 midnight.otherwise you get 1,000bhat fine.

Comfortable hotel in old city area
Good value hotel. Hotel staff is kind, they even left extra waters and toilet paper in a bag outside my door on days I didn't have room cleaned. Breakfast was good as well, and included with the stay. 5-10 min walk to khao San road.

When you arrive in this hotel, the super unfriendly ladyboy at the recep and your prison-like room, you might think: Should I stay or should I go? But after experiencing Bangkok, its hotels and quarters, I swear you this is a real good -if not the best place-to stay! Why? You have a room with balcony. Which is real rare in this big city. In many hotels, you can't even open the windows (or have no windows). you're in a silent,friendly and cheap are. the prices of rooms can't be beaten. You have real good breakfast. So what else do you want? The ladyboy may be unfriendly, but she's the way she is. I appreciate this to artificial smiles. The massage salon of a real charming thai lady is just in front of the hotel. start your day with a real good thai massage for only 200 baht! (!)

Room was very small, the bed very hard. But the breakfast was absolutely amazing everyday! fresh brewed coffee, a different hot dish (panang curry) every day, and salad and eggs and toast. The location was very nice very quiet no chickens no chanting monks very near Kao San and rambuttri but far enough away to not hear any of it.

tucked away in a Soi this cosy hotel is VALUE!
Stayed here several times before, unfortunately the building is aging quite a bit but this hotel still is a perfect choice if you want to comine budget with comfort. The buffet style breakfast is such a surplus and distance to Khao San Rd. is easily walkable! The local area is quiet and gives a nice insight into Bangkok´s Soi-lfe. Staff is extremely friendly nd helpful, they assist you with anything, leave-luggage, booking bus tickets etc. at no extra cost!! Housekeeping is done every day! Local street food stalls are just around the corner and 2 local shops are just outside the hotel. Toiletries, towels and drinking water are provided in the room which also has a fridge! Wifi was working well.

The bathroom was not clean at all. Shopping area and bars 15 minutes away walking. In Tik tuk 5 minutes. Breakfast that was part of the deal include fry eggs, toast, fish with bok choy (thai food), white rice, milk coffee. Nothing spectacular. I know that almost all the time you get what you pay, but in Thailand you can find with the same price at least cleanisnes in the room and bathroom.

A solid choice but getting expensive at 875 baht a night for two in Dec 2016. Better value at New Siam2 with pool for 120bt more. Rooms need a paint at Roofview and beds are far too HARD. Our room was large but suffered from street noise. Overall acceptable stay for one night this trip. I would stay again and ask for room at rear without motor bike noise all night.

Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, great location, great wifi. We took a taxi from the airport (420 bhat including expressway tolls). Definitely have the map they provide on their website for the driver. You can get cheap yummy food near Khaosan Rd. Only downsides were the rock hard mattresses and the black mould on the shower curtain.

Easy walk to khao San or head the other direction for cheap Thai food that's delicious. Everything clean, free bottled water, best breakfast -western and Thai, luggage storage cheap, the free shampoo was better than what I brought from home. Plan to stay again even though not close to the airport.

Can't find better for this price near Khaosan.
God budget place to stay. I liked it. it was really clean. Think it's the best for the price. The breakfast añwas very basic (bread, cereal, rice and 1 thai good) but they had good pineapple and watermelon. You don't really expect fruits for this price budget hotel. Quite at night. Well maintained for everything. They don't even forget to give you water everyday. You don't even need to ask, they just hang the bottles up on the door. Very good.

The hotel is an excellent option if you are not carrying a thick wallet. The rooms are small but very clean, bathroom excellent, free shampoo, free soap, clean towels, air condition was not superb but it worked just enough to maintain a near comfort level. The breakfast was nice, just the right options. The staffs were good and friendly.They even paid on my behalf for an online purchase made by me in my absence which was so pleasantly surprising because i had not informed them about the order. The best aspect of the wholestay was the wifi, superb speed and connectivity. Will definitely stay again and suggest others to stay.

Room was nice and clean. It should be superior double but I'm not sure if it was. Big minus was def. hard plastic matress - you get all sticky because of the heat. Breakfast buffet was nice, nothing special but good. Staff was nice and helpful. It's about 10-15min walk to Khao san road.

Ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen! Empfang total unfreundlich. Obwohl Check in bis 24.00 angegeben ist, habe ich die Dame wohl aus dem Bett geklingelt (22.30). Das Ding Balkon zu nennen grenzt schon an eine Unverschämtheit. Ca 0,60 x 1,20 Meter gross, davor ein Holzverschlag, der keinerlei Aussicht zulässt! Das "Doppelbett" besteht aus 2 Einzelbetten, wo eine zusätzliche Matratze drauf gelegt ist. Aber immerhin sauber.Für 5€ mehr gibt es deutlich komfortablere Unterkünfte.

De ligging is goed, rustig en paar minuten lopen van Khao San road. De kamer is goed, jammer dat koelkast ookuitgaat als electriciteit uit gaat. De matrassen mogen vervangen worden zijn nogal oud, maar verder alles goed. Airco werkt perfect en maakt niet veel geluid. Het personeel is vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam.
