Convenient location with shopping mall next to it. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Taxi fare from airport to hotel is 500 baht with tolls included (around $15). Taxi to Grand Palace/Emerald Buddha is 200 baht plus 40 baht for toll collected at toll booth, though the return trip could be somewhat higher. Many currency changers around there -- any jewelry store will exchange currency at a better rate than at the airport. Just exchange enough at the airport for taxi fare and meal for the day. To visit any temple, long pants or dress/skirt that covers the knees is required and no sleeveless tops.

Pros: Room was cleaned very well, but showed signs of missed deep clean upkeep of top hotels. For the area best location. Down the street from Chinatown, where everyone goes for best street food in the world. Can’t ask for better location. Breakfast was terrific, but ask for receipt when purchasing at checkin due to other reviews. Cons: right outside hotel, extreme poverty, no action to work with community to clean up area, or make access to Yaowarat Road easy to find, and got very lost traversing narrow, dark streets.

My partner and I stayed in ASAI Bangkok Chinatown for 3 nights on arrival to Bangkok. We arrived earlier than our check-in time since our flight landed around 10AM. We thought we’d have to wait for our room but it was actually ready around 12:30PM when we arrived at the hotel. We booked the king bed with city view. The room was small but looked clean and beautiful. We felt that the service was good and the hotel was generally quiet. We loved the area, Chinatown can get lively but dies down by 10-11PM, which is perfect. The shopping area the hotel is connected to is great - there’s a 7-Eleven, pharmacy, and restaurants right downstairs that we took advantage of. A/C situation was good and it felt safe and central without being in a super touristy area.

We stayed on the 7th. floor corner courtyard room for 3 days. The hallway and the room smell strongly mold fungus. The carpets were dirty and smell urine. Definitely need cleaning or remolding

The hotel exceeded our expectation. It's newly renovated. Breakfast is excellent, I recommend taking the breakfast as you don't many options around. (Excellent coffee for coffee livers and they have a onelette/eggs station)
