10/10 Excellent

"Cool rural vibe that feels like you’re sleeping in a piece of history. Got in a little late but they had the room and key ready for me with a little note at the front desk. The floor is creaky and the doors are squeaky but it kind of feels like home. The mattress in room 5 was a little off where one side was hard and the other was sunken in. However, the room was very clean and it smelled nice. They have a lounge type room with a fridge and a coffee machine which is a nice little extra touch. If we’d stayed longer we would have utilized the community area in the back. Would definitely stay again!"

"I normally don’t write reviews but I am!! Everyone must experience what we did!! Absolutely amazing! Cabin was very clean and relaxing. I can’t express enough how awesome the staff was and the food was yummy!!! So if you are needing a great getaway definitely 100% stay here!! I promise you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you everyone at The Gold Mine Hotel!! You guys rock!!"

"Our room was not clean and we found long hair under our sheets. No toilet paper holder and heard a noise clanking all night long. The owner of the property lives right in front of the cabin and is always out - no privacy. The front door has glass windows that we had to cover with a jacket as people can see right into the cabin right where the bed was. Owner is very strict on dogs even when he charged us for a pet fee. Parking was very tight. Carpet in the room was dirty and bugs in the cabin. Did not feel comfortable staying there."

"I have pictures and videos of this horrible unsafe condition. Bug's all over dropping off the ceiling threw the night all over the walls and floors. Dirty sheets other people's hair and glasses in the bed and some type of orange stains. Tube had other people's hair, mold, staind towels, toilet was not clean. The bathroom amenities had been opened and used prior to us. On the other bedroom it looked like mouse poop on the bed sheet. We had to remove our shoes and socks because the floor in the kitchen we kept catching on their LVP or laminate flooring because it's uneven and coming apart so we had to be barefoot stepping on bugs to the point where our feet were disgusting black. There was holes in the walls. Dead bugs and mold in the window seals. The walls had painted bubbling. Even though it says that we could check in early unless people were there we were not able to. So we had to find a place to go until we could check in at 4pm it was raining and we had kids with us. Our 11/2 year old and 9 year old had gotten really wet and even though it said it had washer and dryer it didn't. So no we couldn't wash our sheets or even dry our clothes from being wet. There was ant traps on the floor and on the counter when I made coffee we found out that there was bugs in our coffee. We also found a pill in the couch that our 1 1/2 years old could have gotten a hold of. With balloons that she did find. All the towels were staind but one. I would like a refund for our stay. "
