"Most people aren't aware of this property within Madurai. Pasumalai hills are lovely and evergreen. We liked the hotel location. But since the hotel is 1890 most of their rooms are very old. We had A/C issue and when reported we got alternative room with A/C was much better. Thanks to the manager asokan who took care of this issue with utmost care. "Stayed for one night. No complaints. The hotel is located close to meenakshi temple 15 -20 mins by car/auto. Staff was courteous and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was a bit slippery i guess a non slip mat would help but in all good. Hot and cold water was good. Comb , shaving set, towels, toothpaste& brush and other usual toiletries stuff were provided. Comfortable bed I had a good night sleep. Ac was good there is a ceiling fan as well . The room furniture seems old with some scratches . The breakfast was good had the usual South Indian dishes, idili Vada oothaaapam kesari sambar chutney ect. There was non veg option catering to foreigners tourists. Considering all the amenities and services it is expensive hotel but worth the price . Overall a comfortable stay . I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone Visiting Madurai. and I hope to return for a longer stay! "
