This is our first time at this property and we were not disappointed. Quiet and peaceful the grounds were a delight to walk all day. Beautiful grounds. Very helpful and polite staff, they went out of their way to meet all our needs. Punctual and polite, our driver was very knowledgeable and made our tour around town and temples a pleasure. Staying at Heritage Madurai was the highlight of my trip — truly the best and only best part of my Madurai visit! From the moment I arrived, every single staff member was exceptionally warm, kind, and hospitable. You can genuinely feel how much they care about their guests — it’s that kind of old-school hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The property itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully maintained, immaculately clean, and surrounded by endless greenery. Even though Madurai can be quite hot, the resort feels like a lush green forest that instantly cools your mind and soul. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with traditional charm. Every corner of this place radiates peace — from the stone pathways shaded by trees to the calm, earthy tones that make you forget you’re anywhere near a city. It’s a world of its own — serene, refreshing, and so beautifully kept.

A very nice atmosphere . Jasmin spa massagers Buana and the kerela guy was very experienced and gave a very good massage. There was a dead cockroach and cob webs behind the beds so not very clean. There was a lot of mosquitos at the outer dining area in the evening. Please put some incense to acoid this mosquitoes Thank you.

Green oasis in the middle of Madurai! Huge property with spaced out clusters of rooms. Lots of trees and shaded walkways. The Rooms are quite spacious, likely built during the colonial. And have been preserved well. Staff and service were great like most good hotels in India, very polite and they take care of guests and their needs very well! Huge pool and lounging area. The pool at night makes for great pictures! Awesome buffet breakfast/dinner. The Banyan bar is nice, literally next to two massive Banyan trees! Evening walk in the shed walkways was an awesome experience. Not very far from the Meenakshi Temple, took a taxi and we were there in about 15-20 min.

We expected at least a 3 star facility. This fell far short. The room was the smallest of the group. The bathroom lacked proper drainage. Shower water ran all over. The toilet sink had water stains. The cushion had coffee stains not cared for. The bathroom did not have storage space or place for toilet roll. The place needs a lot of make over. It is over priced for the value it offers. The saving grace is the nice open yards, banyon trees and the courteous dining room staff.

I was a bit a disappointed to be honest. I wasn’t expecting the toilet and shower to be positioned outside the room, so when you need to go to the toilet or shower you are harassed by mosquitos!!! I didn’t think it was super clean, the dining room chair covers were white but visibly dirty and looked stained. The blinds in my room were not easy to operate to get natural sunlight inside. However the staff were very lovely. I would not go back, I don’t think the place deserves 5 stars. I’d give it 3 or 4 at most.
