"Great nothing was wrong or bad"

"The hotel was extremely well maintained. Our executive room was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in a king size bed. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast choices were excellent. The bar was well stocked and open till 11.00pm, however, one could still order drinks through reception. The hotel had excellent parking facilities and the grounds were kept immaculate. Although approximately 5 miles from the centre of Lincoln, there was a frequent bus service every 30 minutes into the centre and the nearest bus stop was about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Would definitely return and recommend to others."

"Parking was free, our rooms were very clean though the tap in the bathroom felt wobly and the shower appeared a bit broken but we enjoyed our stay, the bed was comfortable."

"The positives- off street parking available. Breakfast is from 7am and there is a good choice available, including fresh fruit. Negative (for Room 11 in the secondary building) - single gazed windows with condensation, so allowed noise of street traffic in throughout the night. Curtains do not close fully so light streams in with sunrise. Shower - huge leaks from both ends of shower head pipe. Storage shelf in bathroom on large downward angle & about to fall off. All of the above raised at checkout. Central heating not turned on (was about 3C at night); thankfully there was a plug in radiator in cupboard. Room is tiny, barely enough space to put down bag & turn around. Room & door not sound-proofed, can hear opening/closing of doors & bathroom fan of room next door. Overall the hotel is in dire need of an upgrade."

"1st room we were allocated was noisy because of extractor fans on the mezzanine roof just below our window and air trapped in the radiator. Allocated a 2nd room, which was much better, but some noise from the extractor fans still audible. Breakfast service ok, although a number of items not available because they had run out of stock. Dinner in the restaurant not a good experience. Extremely slow service (nearly an hour between starter and main course) and poor communication from the staff regarding delay. Portion size of fish main course extremely small for the money paid"

"The breakfast was fresh and good standard. Sausages were nice and a level above the usual catering tat you usually get at hotels. Staff were good and pleasant. The actual booking and stay was a SHAMBLES. The hotel had OVERBOOKED THEMSELVES. I had booked a room with a queen bed and the room was given to another customer before I got there. That’s completely wrong and disgusting. Also it’s very incompetent of a hotel to overbook themselves. I am not comfortable in a single bed, which is what I was given. I would think twice about staying here again after the utter mess up of this. I only booked a night and a large, comfortable bed and I didn’t have a comfortable night at all. The Holiday Inn would be where I’d choose to stay another time. "

"Lovely large room, comfy bed & clean modern bathroom. hotel looked very nice but I didn't get chance to use the facilities. take a four bar extension though as there are no sockets at the bed neither are there any USB sockets."
