Avoid this place if at all possible.
Place is old and in a state of disrepair.
I don't think I've stayed anywhere worse, and that covers more than 15 yrs of traveling as a consultant.
To start with, the keycards (yes you get two, neither of them do what they're supposed to do) need to be inserted about 30-40 times to get the card reader to unlock. And god forbid you delay for a couple of seconds and its back to trial and mostly error. Wasn't just me but a family with kids adjacent playing the same game. Going out to get ice just wasn't an option worth the time. Front desk seems apathetic to your basic need to get in
When you enter the room, there's a musty smell and the carpet is st-icky. Yes, its a basic motel, but that's no excuse for this level of slovenliness.
Paint is peeling off in places and I was actually afraid to touch anything.
There's a fridge - doesn't work.
TV - turns on, but no signal. Somebody pay the cable bill, please.
On the plus side, the towels seem to be clean and the hot water works great.
It was a bit chilly that evening, and I made the uncalculated error of turning on the heat. After some whining and blowing of (some very cheap and very likely falmmable) curtains over the header/ac unit it starts to smell like a skunk crawled into a pile of old socks and died in there, as did the skunk rescue party.
Suffice it to say I quickly turned it off opting to brave the cold than deal with the pungent odor. Much of the damage was already done.
