No urgency, Poor reception, rooms too outdated, plugs need to be changed to multi sockets, water takes forever to warm up somehow, food average!! I really didn’t enjoy the 15 hours I spent there! "

"The staff tried to scam us for breakfast. The receptionist that checked us in was nice and friendly. The men that cleaned did a good job, but be aware of other staff, as they will mock you and speak badly of you right in front of your face, very disrespectful. Impossible to find space at the pool, it’s also very loud and chaotic at all times. The food was mostly old would not recommend to stay here. "

"Poor management and the hotel has no freedom by desk but is operated out of a restaurant that is around the corner. The room is basic a bed and bath. The manager is not around but part of the time but only at the restaurant. No sign at restaurant that there is a hotel and we were the only guests. Would not return. "

"I wouldn’t consider this area safe and would not recommend as a honeymoon destination. It was very noisy at night time, constant horning etc. There were insects everywhere, including indoors, lizards, ants, worms etc. Mary was very kind and ensured we had breakfast however, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience due to the location being very noisy and the cleanliness. "I had a wonderful stay at Ycona Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff attended to our every need and made us feel truly cared for. The manager, Claudia, along with Omar, were especially outstanding—both were incredibly helpful in facilitating all of our plans and were always flexible and accommodating. They even helped arrange romantic activities on-site, which made our stay extra special.
The villas were spotless and cleaned daily, which added greatly to our comfort. This ended up being one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Anything that wasn’t readily available at the resort was seamlessly arranged by bringing someone in from town, making it feel like there was almost no need to leave the property at all.
An unforgettable experience from start to finish."

"Good standard of cleanliness in rooms, beds turned down every night, as well as spraying with repellant every evening. All team were super friendly, especially Joyce, Generozza, Happiness- all first class. Pascal-head chef, always wanted feedback to ensure all food met expectations- which was varied, fr3sh and really tasty. Would highly recommend and would certainly think about coming back."

"Very welcoming and friendly staff; restaurant went out of their way to accommodate our dietary restrictions.
The property is kept very clean and well staffed.
If you want a break from the crowded touristy areas of Zanzibar; I highly recommend Treetop.
Just be aware that off property it’s a distance to find restaurants or proper markets. But Treetop is so good for a quiet restful stay in Zanzibar. It’s also very close to Jozani Forest which is a major attraction for nature and wildlife "
