Note there is no car park at the property but you can park at the top of the hill close by for free public parking so you need to be fit enough to take your luggage up stairs at the hotel and down a steep road for about 50m to get to the hotel from the carpark. "The two of us got a huge room with two king size beds! The buffet dinner and breakfast were both amazing, large selections of both asian and western cuisine. The hotel has an observation area for sunset and star gazing. In the morning, there is a shuttle to bring you to the sunrise train. I definitely recommend this hotel for anything visiting Alishan."

"Large, clean room and building, good breakfast, very convinent to the siteseeing spots and train station in walking distances. I appreciate the cleaning and replacing towels every day. However, for guests like us to stay for 3 nights, I feel it's a waste to replace towels everyday unless requested. Some hotels do notice for guests: if the towels are on the hook or hanging, they don't need to be replaced. If they are on the floor, they need to be replaced with clean ones. Some hotels with the "do not disturb" sign. If the sign is on, it means no need to clean besides they may be inside the rooms. But your "don't disturb" sign only is on when guest is inside. When guests are out with the key out of the room, the sign is off."

"The hotel was dated and a bit far from walking to the Chiayi Station. There was a large stain on the cushioned headboard and did not look good at all. The shower was located at a corner of the bathroom without enclosure or shower curtain, whenever we took shower, the entire bathroom including the cabinets, vanity top, toilet, etc was wet. Really strange design! Breakfast was good with many items. Staffs were friendly."
