"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site...

"We stayed here for three nights on a diving trip. This is a relatively new private villa overlooking Shark Bay on the south side of the island. It has a private pool with breathtaking sunset views. The property manager Nicky was very communicative and gave us a lot of good suggestions relating to our particular interests for the island. Would definitely recommend to others and will be planning to stay here my next trip to the island!"

"Had a great few day stay at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Guy and his wife are very informative with things to do. It is very quiet where the villas are located and to walk into 'town' is about a 10-15 min walk. The walk back is a bit more difficult as the villas are up on the hill but there are cabs which will always pick you up or take you back to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay. "

"This is a lovely, clean hotel in a great location if you are staying in Koh Tao. It is at the top of the hill, but it is only a 10 minute walk to the shops/Sairee Beach (they do offer a shuttle every hour to take you down). We were disappointed when we got there as we had booked a villa, but it was “under maintenance”, so they gave us a deluxe room instead, the view was great, but it was disappointing as it isn’t what we wanted. Breakfast is included, we had a few hiccups with what was ordered...
