We arrived at By The Sea at midnight, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we wanted to stay longer. It is the most friendliest welcoming hotel you can wish to visit. We stayed here in a two bedroom apartment for four nights in early July and found the whole experience to be excellent. The location is fantastic, close to the supermarket and every other shop or restaurant you might need and walking distance from almost everything else (trips to Great Barrier Reef and beach, etc). The apartments are well equipped with everything required and the bathrooms are great. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. All in all, a very successful stay...

We enjoyed our stay at the Lagoons. Very friendly staff. We had a family room, the kitchen was well stocked, spacious family area with sofa and large flatscreen TV. The porch area has table and chairs leading onto private loungers divided by a safey fence. There are two bbq areas poolside in the centre concourse which are well maintained and equipped - we used these a few times. The pool is also good which the kids loved.
