Wow, what can you say about this place - it's just amazing. We were expecting quite a lot from our safari, but this exceeded it, by a mile...
As you only go on safari to actually go deep in the bush, we can certainly say that this achieved our goal and more - the Ranger and Tracker working here, Peter and Sandy, are very, very, very good at what they do. We got the see all big 5 in our first 2 safaris, and went on to see them again and again... They made it a point that we get to see each one up...

I booked this for my daughter & her boyfriend as a break whilst they were volunteering in South Africa. They absolutely loved it. The hotel / food were really good and the game drives superb - seeing a wide variety of animals at close quarters. The knowledgeable rangers join the guests at dinner which adds to the experience. They loved it so much they decided to stay for a 2nd night!

I should preface this review by saying that I am a professional wildlife photographer. I have stayed at dozens of safari lodges both, expensive high-end and ‘budget’ all over Southern and East Africa.
The Cape Vulture Lodge, is exceptional! I simply cannot praise it enough. If you require accommodation in this part of South Africa, this is the place to stay! It is very close to the ‘Panorama Route Drive’ and the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes, and a few large waterfalls....
