Praia da Gale Hotels

We have just come back and although the weather wasn't as warm as we would have liked we had a lovely 4 night stay here. The food in the resturant was 1st class although I think I would need more choice on the Evening menu if I was staying for a week, we only ate in Hotel Resturant twice for Dinner and couldn't fault anything, perfect and the waiters were attentive. On the beach front there are 3 Resturants all serving a variety of Fish and meats, the prices are similar to Home ( U.K), the beach is 2 mins away and is clean and beautiful. I went with my son and we both had a massage at the Spa witch was excellent, I would go back with my Husband again in season as when its hot, its hot !!!!!!! There wasn't a shuttle bus from the Hotel to take us to the Old Town or New Town as it was out of season so we did have to take Taxis out as we like to go and have a look around other areas, which cost us quite alot of money as it was around 10-13 euro's each trip.

Simple and perfect! A perfect amount of luxury without making you feel over the top! Staff are adorable, only bad thing was not much food for vegetarians but I guess that is Portugal. Completely recommended! Had a fabulous 5 days there!

On arrival the reception area is clean and uncomplicated. You are dealt with quickly and within minutes are at your room. There is a lot of visible security and underground parking is within seconds of your room. The rooms are awesome. No clutter or unnecessary furniture and so much space. A well equipped kitchen and loads of light through the sliding doors. Cleaning is daily. If you are a golfer then you are yards away from a top notch course. If you are a fitness fanatic; then use the facilities; most of which are free and include instructors. If you love the sandy beach, you are about 400 metres from it and it is excellent. The on site shop is stocked daily and there is a little pastry shop which does an expresso and pastry deal for 1 Euro. Most visitors seem to like thier sport, but don't let this put you off. Enjoy being a slouch; there are not many better places to do it on the Algarve.

Conveniently located with facilities for all; a short walk from the beach where there are three cafes; a great place to enjoy the Algarve sun!

The hotel is excellent for family but young people as well. Very friendly staff who always help. Very close to the beach and to the supermarket what is very helpful.

We stayed in a 3 bed villa during October half term with a 5 YO and baby. The villa was spacious and clean, only a few minutes walk from the hotel and a local supermarket. The hotel and staff were excellent and the outdoor heated pool was a godsend so our daughter could spend all day playing in the pool without getting cold. Breakfast buffet was good with a full assortment of hot and cold. The Italian restaurant did takeaway and the villa kitchen was equipped well enough for us. The beach was a few minutes walk along a beautiful walkway and was clean. We will go again.

We had a fantastic holiday at Glenridge. The staff were very friendly and professional. The apartment itself was very spacious and clean - the biggest and nicest bathroom we have ever had on a self catering holiday. The pool area is always clean and the large baby pool is really great for toddlers. A great location for us as it is near some nice restaurants and not too far from the beautiful Gale beach. Would recommend for families wanting a nice base for a quiet holiday in the Algarve.
