Very nice hotel. Spacious and clean rooms. Nice decor, comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent, with great variaty of cold and warm options. The location was excellent for sightseeing Milano for 3 days and taking the train to Venice after. Hotel is very easy to find from Milano Centrale 2 min walk. If you are in Milan you must see the Last Supper.

"Excellent"
Great hotel near the train station, so that u can take the Metro downtown etc., or travel from/to where u want to go. I stayed twice and got upgraded twice. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds and clean modern bathrooms. The rooms are small as with all European hotels, but well maintained and look quire new in fact. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The real treat is free water and sodas in the minibar!! Would definitely recommend it if the area is right for you (I.e., outside the tourist areas)

"great little hotel"
great little hotel with super friendly staff, decent rooms. gym was ok but had a treadmill and a weight machine. the staff were super nice. good breakfast was included. hotel is in the middle of everything, close to central station which is helpful if you plan on taking day trips or are only there for a day or two. to get to the duomo you need to walk a bit (about 20 minutes) which is not bad. the neighborhood is not great but I think its one of those up and coming areas. not super expensive, but trendy and safe. excellent experience, would stay there again.

"Noisy at Night"
The hotel is situated in walking distance from Centrale station, which is quite handy for getting the metro around Milan, and also getting to and from the airport. The rooms are quite basic, but they do keep them very clean. Clean sheets and towels every day and floor mopped - although on my first day they had forgotten the towels.. One thing that did get annoying was hearing other guests and at times the staff screaming and shouting at each other across floors, sometimes till 3am. Also the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours conversations even when not shouting. The room didn't have aircon but the large windows with exterior shutters kept the room cool.

"Right hotel, wrong location."
The hotel is really very good and suited our purpose but the locality surrounding it lets it down. It is situated on the south-east edge of the city (a metro journey in to the city centre) and only about 15 kms from the family we were visiting a bit further south. It is in a business / commercial area and in August it is pretty dead because it is so hot and all the Italians have gone off on their holidays which adds to the empty feeling. If you are visiting Milan for tourism purposes I would suggest probably only three days with an extra day for a trip to Lake Como. We visited the Duomo (cathedral), central shopping area, canal-side, San-Siro (not worth the money) and more shopping! At the hotel, we wanted a family room and got for a bargain price what was effectively a suite so our teenage son was able to stay in the lounge area (separated by sliding doors). Excellent bathroom (all marble), huge bedroom all well decorated and very tidy with minibar and TVs. The gym was a bit weak but the steam room OK. A pool would have been good.

"Smallest problem was the internet"
I loved staying at this little hotel ... The staff were totally amazing, friendly and attentive. My only criticism ... PLEASE fix the Internet ... It took am almost an hour to book a flight with only one seat left ... I kept getting disconnected ... Another guest was trying to Skype and just as frustrated ... As well the Internet only worked in the lobby and every time I used it it seemed I needed a new password.

The room was great. Everything was new and very comfortable. The only downside of this hotel was that the location was far away from all Milan attractions and sights. I would recommend this hotel to friends that don't mind a little trek to get to the closest subway station in order to reach central Milan.

    Pocket Guide: Milan

As Italy's second largest city, and a hub for designers, photographers, and artists, Milan is one of the creative centers of Europe, and for many represents the capital of design and fashion. Milan offers a high-end shopping experience that takes in top Italian designers and world-famous brands. The city has the world's oldest shopping mall, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in the Piazza Duomo, and a wealth of fashion and jewellery shops along Via Montenapoleone, in the Quadrilatero della Moda fashion district.

    Romans to Renaissance

Modern Milan may conjure up images of fashion houses and boutiques, but if the urge to shop until you drop should desert you, it's worth remembering that the city's history, which dates back to 400 BC, is all around you. As capital of the Western Roman Empire, a medieval center of trade, and later under periods of French, Austrian, and Spanish control, Milan's history is long and varied and the city sights are a testament to its importance across the centuries.

A guided Milan city tour will take you through the city's key points of historical interest including Castello Sforzesco, a former palatial residence now open to the public as a museum and art gallery, the imposing gothic cathedral Il Duomo, and La Scala theater. The tour also takes in a viewing of Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Last Supper', viewable only by appointment and housed in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

While Milan is rich in Renaissance, Gothic, and Baroque works of art (the Brera Art Gallery alone brings together Italian masterpieces from the 14th century to the modern day), this artistic center looks towards the future and contemporary art exhibitions are held in PAC (Padiglione Arte Contemporanea) and CIMAC (Civico Museo Arte Contemporanea).

    Eating and drinking

Milan has a profusion of restaurants offering cuisine from all over the world; brunch is big news in Milan and the nightlife in this eclectic city starts early, with hundreds of bars and clubs to suit every taste. The essential Milanese ritual of happy hour is a famously loosely applied term, and between the hours of 6 PM and 9.30 PM most clubs offer drinks, cocktails, and buffet food at reduced prices. The majority of clubs can be found in the Porta Romana, Porta Ticinese, and Navigli regions of the city, but excellent food and drink are never far away. Getting around Milan is easy too, with a public transport system that includes three subway lines, trains, buses, and an extensive network of trams.

    Explore Lombardy

Beyond the city itself, the glacial Lake Como, the third largest lake in Italy and one of the deepest in Europe, is celebrated for its beauty and tranquillity. Take a day coach tour of the lake and the historical center of Como, explore the scenery, and visit one of the many silk factories.
