"Beautiful hotel near the castle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you plan to stay here, you will need to be comfortable with the peacock noises in the early morning and sometimes during the night. It didn’t bother me at all since I had a white noise machine, but I did hear another guest complain about it. Overall, a beautiful place and I would stay here again. "

"138 Liberdade is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to a suite which was absolutely beautiful! The only thing we didn’t care for was our room was noisy. It was located back in the new section and there was lots of traffic, both car and pedestrian. I think we may have been over the dumpsters? And there was a motion activated light that went on/off all night. Of course we are dumb and didn’t realize until the day we left that there were doors that closed over the windows....

"The hotel is centrally located in a very nice and safe part of Lisbon. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast delicious and available amenities very nice. The only issue we ran into was that the restaurant recommendations from the staff were terrible. Do NOT eat at Gina’s - some of the worst food of the trip."

The place is ideal considering it has multiple restaurants nearby (the property itself has a restaurant), Placa de Rossio is right around the corner, and a metro station is only a few min walking. "The staff at this hotel are incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is clean and has decor that I thought was very cool. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I had plenty of coffee in my room. Best of all, the staff members were kind to Josie cat, my travel companion - she got a lovely gift AND an offer for the hotel to provide her with a litter box. I loved it here."
