I had an excellent stay at Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne the past weekend. My room had a generous lake view, which I enjoyed very much. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. The restaurant offers a great selection of signature dishes, I liked the chestnut soup. I am definitely planning to visit again next year.

Nice hotel, service can be improved
The hotel is great, but the service not so good. The parking is available but extremely expensive considering you have a wonderful public parking the other side of the street also covered but much cheaper. The hotel charged me 35 a day when public parking is 20 a day. They didn’t inform me if the price when I call to ask. We had another cushion on the room that I used during the night without a pillow ( not present in the room). When they clean the room in the morning they put the cushion on the official one, again without the pillow, that I need to get myself from the cleaning stuff found in some corridor abandoned. We lost our keys in the room. I telephone Sunday night telling them to look for them. Call again after two hours. Still today no news from the keys even if I told them to let me know in any case ( found or not)

Beautiful lakeside setting. Hotel was busy over Xmas but they coped well with it. Hotel is at the bottom of the hill. There is a metro from the station which is included in the hotel rate as are all local public transport. This is a lovely touch. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very bad experience
Stay one night in November 2022 in Premium Room of 1 Queen Bed. The sanitation was very bad, there was very dirty sheet, many stains on it , and long hair left by the previous customer; the sewer in the bathroom was blocked, and the stagnant water after taking a shower continued until the next morning It's still there; the tissue box in the bathroom is so broken that it will fall if touched; rubbish on the floor of the elevator. The conditions of the entire hotel are very disappointing. I provided all these information to hotel manager with a lot of on-site photos to reflect the actual situation. Very bad experience. I want to post some pictures here...

Great location by the lake
This was a perfect location for my business trip and all the staff I met were very pleasant. The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. I only ate in the restaurant once and was disappointed that one of their signature dishes was not available - I'd have thought as it was a signature dish they would ensure it was available?

Pleasant stay
Had a great time at the hotel. Spotless clean room. refreshing to come back to. Would be nice to have yoga mats in the room. Great view with windows that open. Cold beer from the bar. Great breakfast and two working coffee makers! Dinner service was disorganized. No host or manager. I had three different waiters/waitress trying to figure out my order. I will be back, highly recommend, five stars.!

The beds were small. 2 twin beds for a family of 3 was very uncomfortable. Mattresses were very hard. They couldn't give us another room because it was fully booked. Location is great.

Having stayed at Movenpick Hotel Lausanne many times over the last ten years it is sad to see how the quality of this property has deteriorated. Stayed at one of their “renovated” rooms this time around, which looked extremely tired and in a desperate need for another refresh. In my case the faux-leather headboard was literally pealing off. Saw some stains on the carpet. Another major issue, which is true for many hotels in Switzerland, is their weak air conditioning. I was unable to sleep due to the hot weather, whole opening up the balcony door would attract insects… the staff, while being attentive, lacked the friendliness and warmth for which I used to choose Movenpick over other hotels when in Lausanne

We always stay at the Movenpick for a conference and it typically doesn't disappoint. This time, housekeeping forgot to replace my towels one day and didn't clean my room at all on another. This was unusual from their level of service. It was dealt with very courteously.

Normally we stay in a smaller upmarket Hotel in Lausanne the Angleterre-Residence for our brief HH oliday stay. Unfortunately they were booked out for this period already 2 months ago. So we booked the Mövenpick Cosy room! With 350+ rooms there are obviously lots of larger grous arriving which is normally not our scene. Still the staff was very friendly and accomodating and they even found room for our e-bikes in the luggage room! The Mövenpick restaurants were slightly disappointing and my wifes Emincee de veau an dd its rösti wete at best canteen quality. The Italian moments was a tad better but still kacking that bit of freshness and creativity. Room gor improvement- but overall we were still positivly impressed with our stay there!

Great location on the lake in Ouchy. Seventh floor room suffered from water temperature cycling from blistering hot to very cold throughout every shower. A/C was mediocre at best.
