Great location, less than 10min walk from the train station. Staff were very friendly. Great buffet breakfast with hard boiled eggs, breads, meats and cheeses, cereals, espresso. Walking distance down to the lake or up to the castle area. Transit card included which I didn't not use.

Very pleasant stay
Very pleasant stay. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Lausanne's train station so very comfortable. Close to shops and restaurants. Facilities and room in great condition and breakfast was lovely.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau. It is in a great location. The hotel was clean and well maintained for its age. The staff were incredibly helpful. I would stay here again.

Wonderful and reasonably priced centrally located
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable. Great old building with high ceilings. Great breakfast spread. Particular shout out to the front office person who checked me in and whom I saw in the evenings during my stay. He helped me understand very quickly the subway/tram system and also helped me obtain very quickly and efficiently a dinner reservation at a well regarded Fondue restaurant. Location is ideal for getting to all parts of the town (Ouchy included using the tram).

Fabulous Hotel
This hotel is fabulous, clean, comfortable, the staff there are very nice! The breakfast is excellent, decent, quality. What a pity that we had to skip our breakfast on our last day because of the itinerary, the staff can also give us the take-away breakfast, simple but great~! Thanks much again! 😊😊

The hotel and rooms are now very old fashioned. No overhead shower that works properly, and at the hotel front entrance you have to drag your suitcase up four steps. What is EXCELLENT about this hotel is the restaurant: very good food, spotless, excellent service.

Great hotel in Lausanne and very close to transport. The restaurant is excellent. Remember to put the do not disturb sign on your door, especially if you are having a nap.

We chose this hotel because it's a few blocks from the train station and seemed to be very nice--and it is both of those things. The problem is that it's awfully pricey for what it offers. I had been under the impression that the hotel had a lake view, which it does not (though it's at the top of the hill). It's perfectly nice, but it was probably the most expensive of the hotels we stayed at and neither better nor worse in terms of room quality, cleanliness, etc. Unlike other European hotels we stayed at, it doesn't include breakfast in the price -- and its in-house restaurant is also quite pricey for rather small portions.

Regarding breakfast, you have the option of including it in the room rate when you buy online on your OTA. Breakfast is charged at Chf. 20.- instead of Chf. 25.-. The Hotel Mirabeau was perfect. I was traveling solo for a conference and stayed at the Mirabeau for six days. They were able to change me to a small balcony room which was no small feat during the busy July season. Staff were wonderful, the hotel was lovely on all fronts, and the breakfast was quite expansive. I already miss the strong coffee and Gruyere cheese every morning. This hotel is in stellar shape considering it's age. Thank you for a wonderful stay Mirabeau!

This is a really good hotel in a poor position. The hotel itself is fantastic, good breakfast, clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance from the main train station but there is limited dining around. There is a restaurant in the hotel but getting a table is hard. The restaurant also operates odd hours. I wouldn’t stay again based on the position of the hotel. They do give out a free public transport ticket which was helpful to get places though.

Great room in a convenient location
These are great accommodations but it gets expensive (breakfast not included in room cost and dinner was pricey). We loved the balcony! Had a fridge in room, a wardrobe and bathrobes, and a safe in room. Mirabeau is in a super convenient location near the Gare, so it is walkable from the train station. You get a bus/tram pass, so take the 86 to Ouchy and the lake where you can swim or picnic or walk. Room had a weird shower – hard for a larger person to use since it is on the side of the bathtub not at front. Room had carpet, which is nice. Front desk staff was especially kind and helpful.

Mirabeau was an outstanding experience. Within 5min walk from the train station and subway to Flon, the location is excellent. On another note, I have rarely felt as welcome as I did with the extremely friendly staff greeting us upon our arrival.

In the city centre a short walk from the train station this hotel is clean if a little dated from a decor perspective… rooms are very 70s/80s. Breakfast was acceptable but not remarkable. Staff were friendly and helpful (especially Christina).

The staff was LOVELY! The restaurant in the Hotel was excellent as well. Our room was perfect and had incredible views of the lake and the mountains. And just a 5 minute walk from the train station. There was also a convenient bus stop right outside that we used to get (using the free Lausanne travel pass!) down to Ouchy and up to the Cathedral!! Will stay again if ever in Lausanne!!

What a treat. Just a short overnight stay in this fabulous, friendly, well-run hotel just a short walk up from the train station. The staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was amazing - traditional, simple and delicious fresh ingredients. I would not hesitate to recommend the Best Western Mirabeau.
