"Revisited 13 months on. An Ideal base to explore Edinburgh. Tram stop 200 yards from hotel. Car park at hotel reasonably priced at £10.00 per day. Breakfast self service and adequate choice of food. Rooms clean and comfortable."

"We had a really lovely room and overall a pleasant stay. Housekeeping never came to our room despite leaving the sign on the door that we would like our room cleaned and we were out most of the day. Service in the bar was pretty terrible to be honest, I was the only person waiting and the bartender never acknowledged me for about 20 minutes so I gave up. Breakfast is nice. Location was great. Would probably stay again but the price was very high for what is offered. "

"We came by car and there was ample space to park. We had a warm and friendly check in and the member of staff showed us to our room. The room was clean, well furnished and quite large. We had an excellent Lamb curry and drinks in the Bistro which was very tasty. In the morning our welcome again was friendly and efficient. However check in/reception was excellent, the Arran products were lovely, bar staff great and the parking was the main feature. It’s in a gorgeous location and is overall a great hotel. "Staff friendly, helpful and responsive. Room and facilities clean. Parking secure and convenient. Breakfast convenient and plentiful, great to have so many options, including traditional Scottish. Canteen style works for the setting. Rooms basic but as expected, as is the overall stay. Would stay here again for the value and practically. "
