"Ideal location - close to Coliseum, restaurants"
Wonderful hide-away in a very great Rome location. Close to old Rome, Metro, yet very quiet and peaceful. Cute decor and amenities. Many local restaurants in neighborhood. Would choose Hotel Romance again. Only 4 years old now and a great secret spot. Would recommend the double room overlooking the private garden (room 25). Wonderful staff, helpful!

"4 Star Hotel 5 Star Staff"
Hotel Capo d'Africa is a pleasant, comfortable hotel made exceptional by its staff. I have never stayed in a hotel where the all of the staff were so consistently attentive and thoughtful. The hotel itself would be what I would expect, every thing working (air con, showers etc) and comfortable. I have paid more for less in the past. In close range of much of the ancient, nice quite safe bars and restaurants perfect for folks like me who no longer party all night long but enjoy a stroll though atmospheric architecture. All round excellent. Just missing the infinity pool on the roof :-)

Only issue was the a/c on the first night. Otherwise Andrea took care of everything, and gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Great location across from the Colisseum. Interesting neighborhood. Would stay there again.

"Almost inside the Colosseum"
Pleasant, quaint, and clean. The owner Andrea is very nice and is able to accommodate one very well. Little things like water in the room and asking if you need car service from the airport are and wifi are included. Also love that my room had a patio/balcony to sit and relax in.

"Nice, quiet location not far from the Collosseo"
This is a pleasant small hotel across from one of Rome's oldest churches, the Basilica di San Clemente. It is a about a five minute walk to the Collosseum, and a 15 minute walk to the Vittoriano and beginning of Il Corso, Rome's main shopping street. The rooms are tastefully done, but be warned that they are small! We were comfortable with two people, though with suitcases it did get a bit crowded. One of the walls in the room needed a fresh coat of paint as it had a number of marks on it, but that was a very small qualm with an otherwise well done and very well maintained property. The staff is extraordinarily helpful, and helped us navigate the city, make dinner reservations, etc. The breakfast was also very good - offering eggs, a variety of fresh fruits, espresso and cappucino, and pastries. There is also a coffee bar open around the clock on the first floor. Would recommend for anyone looking for a small-hotel experience, and for a conveniently located hotel outside of the bustle of the often-crowded tourist center.

"Friendly, clean, convenient and affordable"
It's a very small hotel. More of a set of appartments being lent out but everything was clean. The staff were very friendly. The room rates were reasonable and the location was convenient. If we go to Rome again, we will definitely stay here. Friendlines: We weren't the greatest guests - once we left our key in the room and once we bumped a cup of the table but the staff were still very friendly about it. Convenience: We spent two and a half days sight-seeing around central Rome and never once needed to use the Subway. There are some nice restaurants nearby and the staff are happy to recommend them. Once you know the way it is about a 20 ~ 25 minute walk to Termini Station. There is plenty of restaurants and a couple of large super markets along the way. Cleanlines: The room was tastfuly decorated and very clean.
