it isnt the Sukhothai but a 3 star hotel which offers what one needs without fuss and at a decent price. There are cafes and restaurants around, 24 hour 7-11 across the road, and Silom Centre etc not far away. Corridor carpets not the newest.

It was just ok, the hotel and room were clean and safe. There's so pool. Overall ok. The surrounding area is decent and nice with some little restaurants and 7-11 and walking distance to the subway.

This is our third visit to this particular ibis property. While it’s not directly on the BTS line in fact, it takes a few rides by the subway to get there, it is a good neighborhood with a 7-Eleven across the street, a very good varied breakfast in the restaurant and very nice staff. The hotel is very reasonable price. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the MRT Lumpini station, which can connect to the BTS. In the afternoons, after walking all day, we would take the motorbike taxi from the corner back to the hotel at 10 bought a ride, which is less than $.30 cents.

May come back again
Location is good, in the city center area. Room is clean and small. Table is small and only good for one computer. A 711 store is right outside of the hotel. Stuff were very friendly and helpful too.

It is a pleasure to stay at the Ibis at Sathorn. There are very good and cheap food outlets, plus a 7/11. They were very helpful during this caronavirus and understood when we had to leave quickly before borders closed in countries.

The wifi connection is very bad. The IT staff does not work on week ends. So the F & B manager was dealing with the wifi matter on a Sunday. Although the F & B manager is not an IT expert, she boldly said that the problem lies with my computer although the wifi in the restaurant across the hotel worked well on my laptop. When the IT guy came to work on Monday, he admitted to me that I am not the only one having internet connection problems in the hotel. The so-called senior staff lies shamelessly to exonerate themselves and would deny responsibility for anything. Everyone else is to be blamed but not them for the problems they created or are unable to solve. The quality of service in the restaurant is also lousy, yet the hotel adds automatically a 10% service charge to all restaurant bills. Adding such a service charge when the service is bad is like adding insult to injury especially as not all restaurants in Bangkok automatically add the service charge to a bill. Although the senior staff's behaviour is despicable, the front desk clerks are doing their best and are always willing to help but when the hotel is utterly mismanaged, the hands of the junior staff remain tied no matter how ready they are to help. The cleaning staff does not bother to check whether all the cups in the room are clean or dirty. It is as if the customers have the obligation to wash their cups after use.
