Beautiful room, great location for single travellers there are bars all around. Breakfast was expensive unless you buy it when you book the room. Take taxi meter to get there just ask that the lady put the $ on the tkt before you get your cab, should be 400 baht from airport. Do not eat anything in the room without reading first, it was $3 for a bag of chips but the water is free. Definitely the best place I ever stayed at in Bangkok

Nothing exclusive
The reason for my low ratings for this hotel might be because of the expectations I had from this hotel after looking at 4+ average ratings given by most of the travelers. The location was good and the staff specially the concierge guy Eric was very friendly and helpful. Have a quick word with him if you are staying there and he will guide you about places to visit nearby with utmost enthusiasm. Now the bad part unfortunately is the major thing for which a person visits a Hotel and that is the ROOM. Even though it was located on the third floor, it gave us a feel of staying in an underground dungeon. There was no window and noises from the nearby buildings (possibly of the air conditioners) was rampant. Not sure if they’ve got better rooms in the hotel.

Good value on a noisy soi
Everything looks new or brand-new and it's conveniently located half-way between Asok and Prom Pong BTS stations. The room is very classy and breakfast is adequate. FOR THE NOISE SENSITIVE: Deluxe rooms are located at/near the front and thudding bass from local bars kept me up some nights. Earplugs were only so effective. This warning aside, this is a nice boutique hotel on Sukhumvit, close to dozens of bars and restaurants.

Hidden Gem
Every time I go to Bangkok I stay at the Citrus and I'm never disappointed. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is always helpful. It's situated in a great location with some really good massage places right outside the front doors of the hotel. There is also a park nearby that is great for exercising in.

Great hotel but neighborhood is a bit seedy
Loved our hotel room, layout, bed, shower and separate tub. breakfast buffet was very good, great selection to choose from. hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and provided suggestions on where to shop, dine and get authentic Thai massages. Would definitely come back for another stay. The neighborhood is a bit seedy as the hotel is on a side street off of Sukhumvit Road, and is surrounded by the countless massage parlors and bars which can get very busy at night especially on weekends. Noise is tolerable, the room is well insulated to filter %90 or the street noise and bars. view was not the best given the neighborhood but the room was very comfortable and spacious for our standards.

air conditioning sucked and it took awhile for the system to cool the room. no windows, except for 2 small vent windows in the bath room by the shower. pretty good location; close to bars and cowboy. it's ok.

Not to Bad
We have stayed there twice and on Both Occasions the staff at reception were on the point of being rude as if you had done something wrong.. On the other hand the bell boys and concierge were really outstanding warm and friendly. The good thing was that you only see the people at reception for a limited time. We will stay there again !!

Not a 4 star!
The property is advertised and portrayed as a 4 star hotel accommodation - it simply is not that! It is at best a good 3 star property. We had before booking asked for a quite room - on arrival the staff had to change our room as they had not noted the our request. Running a hotel ourselves we know that such requests must be noted and catered for. The room was quite basic. The wooden floor was quite worn and twisted, the walls were heavily marked and the bathroom had a couple of defects as well. Most such items are handled in a maintenance schedule but obviously maintenance is not carried out. Lastly, and most disappointingly, we were charged over 1000 bhat for a local phone call that was claimed to last over 46 minutes. we had bought a thai sim card and did not make such a call. On discussing this with the staff in charge they agreed to refund 20% of the total which we accepted. It did leave a bad taste though as issues with the system which records calls should not impact the customer. Next time i would stay at holiday inn 20 meters down the road rather than here.

Good deal
It is a small hotel in a very central location. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. Very close to the public transportation (metro i guess). We stayed on the 4th floor but the wifi did not work in the room which was a downside.

Good hotel in a convenient location
Located between Asoke & Prom Phranong - 10 mins walk either way. Good local bars and food outlets. "Cheers" next door was great, really good food and a place to watch the local antics. Excellent shams licks in car park of Citrus hotel from about 5.00pm and soooo cheap.

Its was not all what we expected for a 4 star hotel...the breakfast needs improvement and they DEFINITELY in need of teapots for breakfast. .pool closed too early expecially if u a tourist coming back late from your day touring and in need of some relaxing at the pool.....it should close at least by 21:00 Cleaners made at lot of noise at 7:00 while we trying to sleep in. ....However staff at reception friendly amd accommodating

Good value hotel
Citrus fills the role of a good value, clean and unpretentious hotel very well. In the heart of Sukhumvit (if that's what you are looking for) but with easy access to Skytrain and the rest of Bangkok. Breakfast very good and staff all helpful and welcoming. Very good value hotel.

Somewhat convenient location but very loud!
I was pretty disappointed with my stay - there was no major 'bad thing' that happened, it was just blah. The neighbourhood is very seedy - tons of bars and people are out partying until well after 4am - and you can hear it from the rooms. We were on the 5th floor facing the street and it was very loud. The security people on the main level were lovely - the front desk staff weren't very friendly - actually, the most unfriendly of all the places that we stayed at during our 3 week holiday. I didn't realize that breakfast was extra, it was expensive and terrible. If you are a single guy or guys and looking to party with the local women, this is the place for you. We were spending 2 nights in Bangkok coming back from Cambodia, before heading to Taiwan...there are nicer places to stay. The hotel is very modern, the rooms are tiny and not very well-kept. There was grout missing in the bathroom, mold along the grout lines, the walls were dirty, baseboards were scuffed up, bedsheets had some tears in them...needs some TLC. It was clean though.

Great location for Sukhumvit nightlife!
Overall I thought the Citrus was a good hotel, pleasant, accommodating and helpful staff. The room was better than expected, as I received an upgrade, due to the fact that there was no King bed room available. Breakfast was reasonable and in the deal I purchased was included. I would most definitely stay there again. Very satisfied.

Someone turn the hot water on!?
No hot water was the biggest issue we had. Room was nice enough, though bed was hard. It was near the sky train and a nice street to wander down and have a drink and a massage. Close to the Sukkhumvit night market also. Not the easiest for taxi drivers to find (as we discovered). Staff were nice and breakfast was ok. Apparently known as a "hip hotel" by the locals - guess good value for money:-)

Fantastic service and Very polite people
it was very good stay at Citrus Sukhumvit ,specially i would like to rate them excellent for prompt service and helping nature of people.Though rooms are w/o balcony and small they are very cozy and great enough for 2 people. We face a problem in getting hot water in bathroom but it was not significant as we have visited in May ,the days with crouching heat....Overall I recommend this hotel for Family stay and enjoy the company of great people

Small- efficient- comfortable- and just right.
Taxi had a hard time spotting the Signage but after a long trip around the block we found it. A quick and easy late night check-in got us up to our rooms. The room was small, but well cared for, fairly new, and the bed comfortable. Nice closet/storage space and a very nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Only complaint I had about the room is that the walls/floor/ceilings seem to not be very sound resistant. I could hear the neighbors using the bathroom, murmurs of TVs and screaming words early in the morning 7amish (I think this was the cleaning staff yelling about stuff, but I am not sure). The breakfast was pretty okay and I had nothing to complain about. I would stay here again.

Great Location for Nightlife
This was my second stay at the Citrus 22 Hotel, and except for a poor check-in experience it was a wonderful stay. Room is adequately sized and furnished for it's price range. The large bathroom, shower area and big bathroom are good selling points for the hotel. There is a very large flat screen TV (42 inches I think), BUT Citrus 22 has the worst list of cable TV channels I have ever seen in Bangkok. No HBO, SKY Movies, ESPN, CNN etc etc. Lots of Chinese and local Thai stations. Nightlife venues everywhehere on Soi 22...restaurants, bars, massage parlors etc. and about a 12 minute walk to the Skytrain. All in all, a good place to stay in Bangkok

Excellent Choice for ingle Traveler
Overall the Citus 22 Hotel was exactly what I needed. It is close to everything, restaurants, nightlife, Skytrain, and shopping mall. My room was large enough, and the bathroom was Great! The included breakfast buffet was pretty standard buffet fare, but good. The free Internet was fairly fast and reliable. I'm planning on a return trip after a side trip to Pattaya. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to those interested in this part of town

Top quality hotel
I've been staying at the Citrus hotel for over a year now and I won't stay anywhere else in Bangkok. The hotel is a bargin for the price and I can't believe the quality of the rooms. I pay a lot more for so called "better" hotels yet get less for my money. The staff is always on top of everything and very friendly.

Our Bangkok Family Trip
The hotel was better than what we expected. The rooms are nicely ID'ed; very modern and comfortable for travellers whether single, couple or even families with children. Its location is also perfect. Only about 10 mins walk to the nearest BTS station. Lots of massage parlors for you to have your foot and body massages after a tired day of shopping and sight seeing. Specifically for Muslim travellers looking for Thai Muslim Food there is one restaurant Usman Muslim Thai Food just about 5 mins walk from the hotel. It is by the side of Queen's Park Imperial Hotel. Superb and excellent local Thai cuisine served "Halal". :)

No windows
A slightly unusual hotel, room was really nicely decorated, contemporary modern style, and very clean, however, we coudn't believe that the windows can't open. It's fully airconditioned, like a business building, so windown while decent size can't open. That was very disappointing. Other than that, we liked everything else.
