"Lovely grounds and area. The room was of good size and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, it had been a hot day and we didn't check in until late. We found the room boiling hot as no windows were opened. There was a fan in the room which made a incredibly loud racket and the doors to the balcony wouldn't open. We slept not well as a result of how hot it was. I'm sure our experience was a one-off but my feedback was brushed aside at check out. "

"We were given a disability room off the car park so not in the main building. So no view of anything except a fence 18” from our window. Not sure why hotels think people with disabilities don’t need a surface to put their toiletries on in the bathroom. I find this in every room of this category we’ve stayed in. "

"Perfect for my visit to Reading. Five minutes walks form the station and close to shops and local sites. Delightful friendly, helpful and courteous staff. "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in the Mansion House which had a lovely rustic feel but was also very clean and modern. The whole site had a lovely feel and the other building with the pool etc looked very modern and also had some nice cosy seating areas. We didn't use any facilities but had a look around and everything looked brand new! Would love to stay here again. "
