9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,653 reviews)
The roving price of a night’s stay was misleading and unfair. I ended up spending almost double than expected. My rate should have been locked in. Otherwise, you should have disclosed this in advance and reminded me at check in. Shame on you. This negates anything good about the hotel. How shameful!

9.4/10 Exceptional! (1,003 reviews)
Excellent location. Elegant décor. Nice staff, especially doormen. Didn’t get a chance to see the room we originally chose—“Superior King”— because we were told we were being upgraded. The first-floor upgrade had a king bed, a settee and two chairs, a chandelier, and a number of nice amenities. Unfortunately, the only window was covered on the outside by an ivy trellis that attempted to shield the view of a large structure of cables and the adjacent tall brick building. We could barely get a glimpse of the sky. Access to the small bathroom was via one tall-but-narrow step up, that could be deemed unsafe and difficult for some, but did have a solid railing to assist the short climb.
