The staff is way too courteous in this hotel. Valter made sure that our stay was perfect, and help us book some nice tours.
Everyone was really polite and helped cover the few shortcomings the rooms had.

This was a lovely hotel, with Katia ( the Hotel Manager) present and regularly asking if everything was satisfactory.
The building , the rooms , spa and indoor / outdoor pools : all beautifully maintained.
The breakfasts were wonderful ( cold buffet but also choice of omelets, eggs Benedict etc!)
Dinners at either the golf club or Oxalis dining room very good .
For us the outstanding features were the fantastic Palheiro gardens …..& the exceptional friendliness of all the staff ( Sonia, Mario, Ed just to mention a few !)

Beautiful grounds and apartment with everything we needed for our baby, including comfy cot and baby bath. We loved the gardens, views, spa pool and the delicious range of choice for breakfast. We will be back!

What a lovely location although there are multiple suites and rooms, from the majority of vistas they are all nestled within the land and discrete. There were issues with the room but we were kindly offered alternatives. Breakfast was included and you couldn't eat enough. The grounds were impressively level given the graduated levels of Maderia's landscape.
