Staff was very helpful

I comprised a list of things wrong. Hope it helps someone else decide. 1. No face towels/washcloths on Masquerade side. Called desk and was told they don’t have them period. Lies! The newly remodeled tower (Ipanema) has them. 2. Room smelled like a perm??? Extremely strong perm smell. Well 2 days later the tub wouldn’t drain and when we turned on the sink black stuff gushed up from the tub drain. The perm smell was HORRIBLE! They came fast because it affected my Asthma and I was having trouble breathing. 3.Charged my card twice and MORE than Expedia said we owed at checking. Said i had to pay the fees PLUS $500 deposit for each room I booked in my name. 4. Ice machine never worked 5. Elevators weren’t working on one side. So only 2 of 4 worked on the Masquerade side. Upon complaint of waiting 1 hr the open up one more elevator. All 4 never worked. 6. Pool closes at 6pm daily AND it shut down for the Labor Day holiday AND the day after!!!! 7.We were supposed to have connecting rooms or same floor and was put on floors 30 and 34 but other members of our group got the new tower and we’re close. 8. Bell Desk closes at Midnight. No help with luggage for 2am departure and no cart to get everything downstairs. 9.No microwave in room but you have a fridge 10. No microwave at all for guest use or rental 11. Ride share pickup is not right out front like taxis it’s at the end of the building kinda on the side. This was a struggle for two disabled people who travelled with us.

I love the Vdara, rooms are spacious and clean. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. I love that it’s walkable to the aria and cosmo. it’s the perfect hotel for a quick trip!
