This is an older hotel with very little entertainment so be prepared to create your own. The views are incredible and so is the staff. The private beach was awesome but if you aren't comfortable with large waves, stay out of the water. The food was really good but the selection was limited.

The staff were really nice and very helpful throughout my stay. Housekeeping was a little unusual, as I had to ask them to come and touch up the room instead of it being done automatically. The Barcelo is a nice hotel with a good location. The beach is flat, long and very walkable which we enjoyed. It was very busy and there was a lot of trouble finding an empty chaise in the morning.
