yeah i know its a cheap hotel, should not have high expectations, but this one I was really happy to leave it. noisy outside, smelly, breakfast vomitable (smelly you really don't want to eat there! and mostly chinese options.)
I was expecting a bit more English capability since it is a best western chain; asking questions beyond checking in questions was difficult. Also the breakfast is advertised as western but it is not.
A very comfortable stay overall.
overall hotel is good but ac don't work
no matter what you do it is set at 26.5 which is way too hot for some people.
breakfast is average.
for the price it is good except too hot for us to be comfortable.

Nice for an hotel in the middle of the country
The hotel is reasonably good for Zhangjiajie. Not really in the occidental standards because the floor of the room was durty, the joints in the bathroom were black, the plugs falling from the wall but the overall was confortable. The staff doesn't speak english but is really into the service. They ordered us some food on night and tried to understand our needs the best they could.
Need a taxi to go to the city center but location is good enough. City center is not the best attraction of this area.

Ok... Not Best Westerns Best
I had high expectations for this hotel since Best Western chains are usually pretty nice. Granted it was a decent hotel and the front desk tried to be helpful but spoke no English so communication was difficult. The room and bed was comfortable but the cleanliness could use some work. Especially the carpets were very dirty with stains all over them...but they so give you very nice slippers. The free breakfast was extensive but not very western friendly (not their fault as there aren't many western visitors) and the coffee was terrible. Also I know it's a china thing but there was a lot of cigarette smoke especially in the lobby and it would seep into our room regularly. Overall it was fine for the price but I wouldn't recommend for westerners. Another problem was that the website says they have free airport pickup and drop off which they don't so don't even bother asking, every person gives you a different story. Just take a taxi and don't let the cabbies charge you more than 40rmb. I did like the flower and chocolate on my pillow when we arrived :)

Unclean
I felt the hotel was not that clean. I felt it was not worth the money.
I recommend that suite hotel . very nice , very nice size . and service is good , beside subway service . a nice coffee shop just on ground floor , the view is good , very clean , for the price , cant complaint . you can feel you at home .
Good hotel, buffet was good, staff friendly. Only manager spoke English. Would be helpful to have someone that could speak or translate to plan activities around the area.
We stayed in the hotel for three nights. The rooms were good but the shower was blocked and water was spilling into the bathroom. We reported it to the receptions but no one came to clear the blocked shower. No one at reception could speak English and I have to use my basic knowledge in Mandarin to communicate.
Well they could not find my reversation. It was 10:30 at night I was tired got ripped by the taxi. $150RMB. It should have been $50RMB at most
Do they gave me a room. $2000RMB for two nights
At least I thought it was.
Room was great more than I needed.
When I checked out I ask for a receipt. Well again no English and was told he did not know what I was charged per night so he could not give me a receipt.
I'm sure if I spoke Chinese I would have been given a receipt. So u don't even know what I was charged. We will see
If you know Chinese I think it's a great place
It was a very nice hotel overall a little expensive compared to other hotels we had in China. The only problem I had was the main floor restaurant service was not very good wouldn't recommend that. Although the free breakfast on the secound floor was excellent.

Nice Hotel b/w Tianmen and Zhangjiajie Mountain
We stayed in an executive suite and it was very comfy. However if you are going to be at the Zhangjiajie national park area, I would recommend getting a hotel near there. This place is 40 minute bus ride and people don't speak English.
Taxi drivers won't turn on the meter and they would ask ridiculously high price. We had to pay 50 RMB to get to the hotel but if you get arrive at the airport before 9:00 PM take the burgundy color minibus to wherever you are going. It's just 12 RMB per person to get to the mountain.
