"Great location if you are planning on skiing.
Cosy little hotel, alittle tired, but clean.
Staff very hospitable, and pleasant, only to keen to try and help .Not a lot of English.
Service was great. They pick up and drop off as required, this made it much easier to get around.
Could rent skis from there, as well as pay for lift pass.
Could also purchase other day tours from there.
Breakfast was great."

"The Tanya was really a great stay. The Onsen water is wonderful; the staff is great, as well as the food. It is as clean as it can be considering its age and number of visitors. I will go back again."
"A well maintained beautiful classic traditional Japanese ryokan, the service is on the top notch. Everything is perfectly presented. We had a great time staying at the ryokan."
"This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever stayed. The lounge was filled with tasty treats and drinks in the afternoons and outside was a beautiful area with a foot bath. The hot springs were wonderful and the kaiseki dinners were amazing. The hotel staff members were very accommodating and gracious when dealing with a mixup about the reservation. We enjoyed the entertainment in the lobby at night. There is a convenient bus to and from Sendai station. You can purchase roundtrip tickets when you get off the bus, for a slightly discounted price. Our room was so spacious and comfortable that I miss being there already. Highly recommend and we will be back!"
"Staff was very welcoming, meals were executed very well, sulfur baths and open baths were very nice. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Great place to stay "
