This is an exceptional hotel. The location was excellent for exploring Stone Town and beyond. The staff was professional, polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. A truly unique hotel.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I found my self in need of a hotel half way through my trip and opted for this one. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly safe and the hotel was lovely and peaceful. After a long 21hr journey we got to the hotel a few hours before check in time. Seeing that we were tired the hotel staff offered complimentary breakfast while they prepared our room. Simply a very smart, friendly and well appointed hotel with big clean and cool rooms. Lovely pool and bar area with easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants and all the sites.

I was with both my daughters the area la Neisha is situated is very safe, we were out late night we felt secure and the streets lights were visible. Also the staffs are very friendly and helpful especial Ali, Suleiman and Aisha. We wanted a transport to go to port they arranged for us. We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

We chose to stay here after reading many great reviews and it didn't disappoint. Great food, amazing views of the beach and the sea and the owners were really helpful and accommodating. The wifi and air con both worked well. Swimming at high tide at sunset was absolutely idyllic.

If you are looking for a proper escape to a quiet paradise then look no further. The Marafiki bungalows are set in lush greenery with steps down to the sea. There is a lovely pool but no real sandy beach, though with swimming shoes, you can get down easily to swim when the tide is in. The restaurant is fantastic with a brilliant breakfast menu setting you up for the day and a wide variety of choices for the evening meal, all beautifully cooked. Incredibly family-friendly hotel. Fantastic service - from the head chef to the front house manager to the housekeepers, everyone working to make sure you got what you needed. As a family with 3 small children we very much appreciated this level of attention. Drawbacks were a mediocre kids club and lots of stairs up and down to the rooms. Food and entertainment were abundant and good, but not great. Was fully booked for most of the time we were there but didn't feel crowded.

Room was spotless, staff were great especially Rosie and the manager Megan. Location is great, it is set in a quieter part of the island which we loved, the pool is right near the beach so you can enjoy both at once, there is parking if you rent a car and the room are private and really well designed.

Amazing staff, great location. Wonderful place. They really went out of the way to help and make our stay special!

Amazing place.... Peter the owner is welcoming and friendly. You are treated like family. Rachel the waitress was very good and always was attentive to your needs ... always showed a smile. Best thing though was the view.... wow... Try the pizza .... best I have ever had!
