We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

Excellent option, friendly and extremely helpful staff. The only observation is that I found there to be too many Indian food options for both lunch and dinner and I missed more grilled food.

I can’t recommend Clove Island highly enough. The setting is stunning, right on a super quiet beach and so relaxing and zen. The design of the apartments is gorgeous, so much attention to detail, it felt like a serene beach house. The staff are all amazing, the manager really took time to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay, and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We chose to stay here after reading many great reviews and it didn't disappoint. Great food, amazing views of the beach and the sea and the owners were really helpful and accommodating. The wifi and air con both worked well. Swimming at high tide at sunset was absolutely idyllic.

We had an amazing 2 weeks here everything was really perfect . The owner eas around sometimes and when he was he was really pleasant and you can tell he has pride in the place and wants his customers to have a wonderful experience. All the staff were very friendly,approachable and you can tell they love their jobs. I would definitely recommend this place 👌

This is an exceptional hotel. The location was excellent for exploring Stone Town and beyond. The staff was professional, polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. A truly unique hotel.

If you are looking for a proper escape to a quiet paradise then look no further. The Marafiki bungalows are set in lush greenery with steps down to the sea. There is a lovely pool but no real sandy beach, though with swimming shoes, you can get down easily to swim when the tide is in. Incredibly family-friendly hotel. Fantastic service - from the head chef to the front house manager to the housekeepers, everyone working to make sure you got what you needed. As a family with 3 small children we very much appreciated this level of attention. Drawbacks were a mediocre kids club and lots of stairs up and down to the rooms. Food and entertainment were abundant and good, but not great. Was fully booked for most of the time we were there but didn't feel crowded.

Flame Tree Cottages were an amazing find! We stayed here for 3 weeks, and every day was perfect! The staff are a complete credit to the hotel. They are super helpful, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The cottages are super cute, and positioned as such you don’t have neighbours, just your own beautiful gardens to look over.
