The Grand, York
Although I had apparently booked a standard room it was presented in a very high specification and was more spacious than its m2 rating would suggest. Staff were polished and highly professional at all levels. I knew the breakfast was highly rated but that was exceeded and the venue inspiring.

We picked this hotel for one night in York as it has secure parking on the premises (20$) and it is a very short walk into old town york.
