The breakfast and evening meal were excellent and freshly made. The staff were very friendly and location lovely and quiet with beautiful gardens to the back. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Excellent stay, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was wonderful, hot selection freshly cooked to order. Good continental selection.
Room was quite new and spotless. Had a fridge with water and pepsi, also some nuts and biscuits included. Lovely village location.
We booked the one bedroom apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. Having the hotel facilities like the bar, restaurant and breakfast on hand, you still have the option of a fully functional kitchen, lounge to relax and watch TV (World Cup Rugby in our case) and a private terrace to sit out on. Perfect base to explore the surrounding area. Amazing staff!
Booked a dinner, bed and breakfast deal as an anniversary treat and we weren’t disappointed! Lovely room overlooking the gardens, spotlessly clean. Fantastic small touches like a stocked mini fridge, peanuts and great tea tray with a wide range of hot drinks. All complimentary. Super soft bath robes an added bonus. Food was outstanding. The staff could not do enough for you, Shaun the manager very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. Had a lovely relaxing break, would definitely stay again

Very noisy hotel!
First, this isn't a spa hotel. The 'spa' area was closed, but even if open, it's tiny and definitely not comparable with a proper spa hotel.
What the hotel does do is host big events, and they are noisy. We couldn't stay in our room as it was directly above the disco and although the staff did find us another room, it was tiny - no bath, no fridge, no view (barely a window). It was quiet thankfully, but it was not worth the cost and wasn't at all what we paid for.
The hotel itself was lovely, but we booked it as a spa break and when we go there the spa has closed! It says nothing about this on hotels.com website and I was so disappointed. It’s in the middle of nowhere and without the spa, there was nothing to do and it was a waste of our time and money. Completely not what we had booked. I feel really robbed as we paid £315 for the room and completely dissatisfied.
Well appointed and comfortable rooms in renovated hotel, with ample parking and lovely surrounds. Ideal location if you are visiting Yeovil or surrounding area.
Wonderful cooked breakfast using local produce.
Really nice room with a good view of the garden. Big bathroom. Complimentary mini bar. Great service from the staff.
Its a shame jacuzzi area was closed. Breakfast was ok.
Charming Staff, very helpful, good breakfast, spacious room, very good restaurant for dinner.
The only issue I had was the height of the side of the bath, requiring more that a little caution to access the shower

I would suggest they close the restaurant for others if they are catering to large groups instead of small groups being made to feel like a problem or having to accommodate the larger group. We had to order quickly, wait and rush our starter to accommodate a large group.
This hotel is amazing!
An advert of how a hotel should be run
The rooms are modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean
The staff are even better, very helpful and nice to chat to
If you get chance try the food too, the chef is superb!!
A lovely hotel with beautiful garden, but perhaps not quite meeting its 'luxury' tag. The room was large and quirky, with a lovely bathroom, although a little dark being in the roof space. The bed was a little hard though, which didn't make for the best night's sleep.
Food was a mixed bag - steak was perfectly cooked, but chips under cooked. Breakfast was decent, if not overly special.
Staff were also mixed. Lovely waiting staff at dinner, followed by a rather abrupt lady taking our order at breakfast. Most disappointingly we were double charged at checkout, having paid online beforehand. We informed the reception staff of this fact but they assured us it was normal practice and they hadn't been paid by Hotels.com. Upon checking later, this was incorrect and we had to call up to get refunded by the hotel - which was quick and painless, but noticeably missing the word "sorry", which a shame.
Covid restrictions were in place, although not always followed by some residents (...a tendency to walk around maskless between spaces, sadly without being challenged).
Excellent Hotel, with friendly staff. Easy parking onsite. Rooms are lovely and the location was very convenient as close to Yeovil where my business meetings were.
