"Lovely clean room with very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Superb views across to the hills behind the village. Very nice toiletries provided and excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate in room facilities with biscuits! I really enjoyed the comfortable residents lounge which was unexpected but a nice place to relax and read a book (motor racing or vehicle enthusiasts will enjoy the book selection). The breakfast was very high quality with local Ingredients and beautifully presented. Gluten free and vegetarian options were available. We would happily stay again. Only slight downside is the church bells which chime all through the night (why?). The proprietors very thoughtfully provided ear plugs but if the windows are open these are insufficient against the bells which provide an alarm clock on the hour, every hour throughout the night. Keeping the windows closed would probably alleviate this but if you like fresh air at night and are a light sleeper it might be difficult to get a good nights sleep which is a shame as the beds are so comfortable. We would definitely stay again though as The Belfry is very good value and extremely well appointed. There is a pub literally across the road which serves food on some evenings (think it was Wednesday to Saturday during our visit). We ate there and it was very convenient to be able to walk there, friendly and reasonably priced pub grub options."

"Good food and staff, service a bit slow at times Rooms dated and need good clean, public areas need a revamp, housekeeping staff lacking in skills - asked for room to be serviced each day but had to make our own bed two days running and were left with unwashed mugs and hairs in sink and bath Heating turned off on 1st April, and when we questioned we were given an inadequate heater"

"Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜"

"Excellent accommodation with restaurant. Menu high quality and good value. We originally planned to eat on only one of the nights of our stay but couldn’t resist a second sitting. Lucky with weather so we’re able to sit and have a drink by the pond. Cooked breakfast a bonus. Quiet setting just outside chard which was easy to find with ample parking"

"Accomodation provided us everything we needed for a one night stay. A lovely continental breakfast hamper, clean room and lovely paddock area to exercise our pooch. Only recommendation is for a couple of the wall sockets to include a USB connection."
