"It was a great experience! We stayed for just one night, as a transition from Kyoto to Tokyo. Although it was rainy, cold and Mt Fuji was not visible, it was the best place to stay. The welcoming staff at the reception, they take care of luggage immediately for you. You get a tour of the hotel by one of the staff which explains you all the itinerary of events and get you to you room. Our room was a traditional room with a hot spring looking at Mt Fuji (which unfortunately was not visible), tatami floor, traditional beds and all :) Then we got to wear a kimono, get a tea on the beautiful tea house surrounded by the cutest garden; we got a private traditional lunch, i got to experience also the hot springs at the rooftop. The buffet breakfast is extensive and delicious, plus the souvenir shop had great prices and lots of items. A perfect cozy and resting day. My score deduction is only for some upgrades that are needed but it is my only comment. The next day we checked out and we got the hotel offers a free shuttle until noon to the bus station. Here we stored our luggage easily and got to spend the rest of the afternoon in town and got to see Mt Fuji."

"Great efficient hotel. The staff was warm, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was a good presentation and tasty. Amazing views of Mt Fuji right from the room. Room has good air conditioning. Plenty of parking spaces. The hotel shows sign of aging and needs some upkeep; like peeling wall paper and dated/worn furniture. The futon was quite thin, not a very comfortable sleep. Despite this I left happy with my decision to stay overall and had an amazing visit. Cheers to the staff and their hospitality!"

"The resort is kept in pristine condition, staffs are extremely friendly. The room was well stocked with complimentary water, toiletries, and slippers. Cleanliness through the room to the entire facility is top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay "

"Wonderful experience overall. Onsen was lovely especially having the open air bath in the room...all baths give a different vibe but all relaxing. Really enjoyed the Kaiseki but would've been great if they did allow you to report food allergies in advance so they could adjust menu. With my shellfish Allergy one meal set was very limiting. So next time probably wouldn't add that to the experience. Staff were friendly. The view from the room of the lake was amazing ..view of Mount Fuji from the observation deck was awesome. Overall a very relaxing stay...would definitely come again and very happy we stopped here on our trip to Japan."

"Breakfast was delicious!!! Staff made phone calls to make pick up / bus arrangements Views from the onsen or public spa (sauna or natural pools) are insane, loved the experience. It is far away from the city part but there is shuttle to pick you up from MT Fuji bus stop to the hotel (just need a phone call) Taxis are rip off there, be mindful"

"Quite old hotel but charming, with nice views. We stayed in a tatami room and the futon beds were very comfortable! We also benefited from the free shuttle service of the hotel to Kawaguchiko station. Only downside might be the location as there isn’t much around especially at night.Shoutout to the kind, senior gentleman (which I believe was the owner) for helping us contact JR East regarding our lost phone and being so helpful in finding it out. Massive thank you!"
