"The food at the restaurant is not that great and costly. The onsen ( outdoor and indoor) and large swimming pool are great and beautiful. Thanks to the very nice Japanese lady that speak english with an Australian accent, she was very helpful - too bad she is only working in the restaurant and not at the front desk! If you plays a game of pool, the manager will rudely stop your game if your game is lasting a little more than the money and time you paid (2,000 yen per hour). Very rude,...

"Got a bus stop right in front of the building which is great for catching early buses. Miyanoura is the busier area on the island but cant compare to cities, so its already quite good location with short walk to supermarket and restaurants in the area. We love the scenic views right from our room towards a river and mountain at the backdrop. Staff speaks limited English but sufficient to keep you served friendily. Note there are only stairs, ie not barrier free nor friendly for your fatigue legs...

"A really unique property in a lovely and convenient location, used to dealing with hikers and international guests. Great bath, good breakfast buffet, and pleasant staff who are all eager to help you have a great experience on Yakushima, no matter what you plan to do! I hope I get a chance to go back someday. "
