"Rooms a lovely, if a bit warm. Lovely and characterful - which is impressive for a building which is only 10 or so years old. Only slight downside was the food at night. Which was a bit average. But as a hotel, for the price you pay, can’t fault it"

"Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast "

"Lovely 2 night stay and just as we remembered from previous visits which were a few years ago. Comfortable room and bed with side sea view. Hotel lounge/bar area comfortable and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Restaurant food was excellent with good continental breakfast with healthy options, fresh fruit as well as cooked menu if desired. Evening meal was also excellent. Unfortunately didn’t get chance to use the spa or pool this time but it looked very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. "
